Their QB seems like a jackass, the rest of the team doesn’t seem to carry the same attitude. Very much a lunch pail team.
Sad game. Lack of a true talent at QB is squashing this season. Sucks. For you Beaver , in the knows, do they have a top recruit at the position on the horizon?
They have a 3-star redshirting this year, Throckmorton (prototype pocket passer), but he was only ranked around 60 nationally at QB. Also, they have a nice dual threat commit for 2023 that is ranked 25th nationally, Aiden Chilles. He looks pretty good in the few highlight reels I've seen. But for fucks sake, they just need someone to NOT turn the ball over. Give me a Trent Dilfer type and let this defense and run game dominate!
My guess is they will look at the transfer portal. Utah seems to use it as well. There are always unhappy QBs at top programs who are sitting behind someone. JSmith still has a good QB development reputation. Despite these last 2 games,
Well I guess I’ll just wait around for this Ducks game… While I drink quality beer and grill some ribs on my traeger.
Jonothan Smith is a great coach IMO. But he seems to only get marginally talented QB's. And 3 star doesn't exactly excite the masses. John Elway was a great player personnel guy except for the QB position when it came to the draft. He never drafted a good QB, and passed on going a 110 miles to see Josh Allen's pro day. He did come out to Eugene to see Herbert in his junior season, but Justin stayed in school. Maybe Jonathon should have others pick the QB talent, cause none of the recent guys is anything great.
Sometimes I think head coaches that were former QB’s prefer the lightly recruited QB more because it’s like their pet project
