rose garden is not ready for nurks all-star level season

I can't believe I have to go back to Moda already for basketball - this summer weather is tripping me out. Also, screw the City of Portland for making all the streets anywhere near the arena $3/hour to park on game nights. $12/game to park 3/4 a mile away is insane.

UNLEASH Shaedon Sharpe!!!
Shaedon should start by unleashing himself. @BonesJones/@hoopsjock did a good job in their post-game video showing how Sharpe had opportunity to move without the ball and just...didn't. Chalk it up to youth, inexperience, whatever...but his invisibility in the offense was largely his fault.

When did Nurk get into growing roses? I was up at the International Rose Test Gardens in Washington Park this last summer. It's a beautiful place. I wish i would have seen Nurk's roses. Damn. I do think he has a chance to have a career year in the Moda Center. With Dame's passing eye, that should be good for at least a half dozen chances per game + at the hoop. I , like most Blazers fans want Nurk to fulfill the promise.

Saw that as well. I just think he was over thinking the game out there. He started to move more and get involved as the game went on, and i expect him to get more comfortable with every minute he plays from here out.

prolly doesn't make sense if you are going with family or have multiple people in your party, but you can park & ride the MAX to Moda from any of these locations: https://trimet.org/parkandride/

$5 round trip per person.

I assumed he meant the White House's rose garden is not ready for Nurk's inevitable visit after his all-star season leads the Blazers to a title.

And that's the problem - even with just two of us that's now $10 extra a game. 42 home games - a nice $420 tax on fans.

oh one more takeaway from last night that i forgot to mention:

shaedon has viable SF size. with his long ass arms and bounce, he can easily slot into the 3 long term.
I’d prefer that size at SG though. Trade Simons.

Is pine tar legal in the NBA?
How about Stickum?

sheesh this kid

Effortless. Love how after his impressive block, his reaction was so calm like it was nothing.

He needs to move more. Probably coz he doesn't know yet what to do. Like Chauncey and Shaedon himself said, his head was spinning. 20+ minutes in the preseason would be good for him.

Somebody could make some money on an affordable shuttle service. Or maybe there already is one?

I always park at the Convention Center. It's like $15 but it's easy to get out of there and on the road after the game.

Yeah, that was a pretty timid first game. Hopefully he starts getting more involved as the preseason progresses
