I saw Norah Jones live at McMenamins Edgefield this July, she was pretty good, but my god was it packed.
I tell you, with the increased capacity there, concerts at Edgefield just clog traffic in Wood Village/Troutdale like crazy.
It was pretty unbearable frankly, my wife and I would never do it again. Almost no where to sit, took forever and a day to get just two slices of food, the setup for beer was horrible, basically the whole experience was very stressful. Fortunately Norah was pretty damn good so that made it enjoyable overall, but the venue itself left a lot to be desired.
Sorry to hear that. My dad and GF got there early for Robert Plant and Alison Krause but still had to walk up the big hill and wait forever. They won't go back either. Apparently they no longer have an entrance close to the hotel? Sounds horrible.
Same situation for Jack Johnson a few weeks ago. The line to get in was crazy & the lines to get food took 1-2 hours. I ended up not eating and got way too drunk because of it.
Jack Johnson at Encore in Vegas end of Feb. Small theater....tix go on sale Friday. We'll see. Kinda doing a lot this winter
