<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Buckeyes receiver Holmes says he'll enter NFL draftBy Pat FordeESPN.comTEMPE, Ariz. -- Minutes after catching five passes for 124 yards and a touchdown in the Fiesta Bowl, Ohio State wide receiver Santonio Holmes told reporters on the field that he was entering his name into the NFL draft. As Holmes was talking, fellow receiver Roy Hall yelled behind him, "You're going to the league!"Holmes is a fourth-year junior. His announcement after the Buckeyes defeated Notre Dame 34-20 did not seem to come as a surprise to coach Jim Tressel."He's a fourth-year guy, well along toward his degree," Tressel said. "I think he's proven that it's time to move along."I tell all our players that if you're a first-round pick, you should go. And Santonio is going to be a first-round draft pick."Quarterback Troy Smith said, "It's time for him to step up and go to another level."</div>http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/bowls05/news/story?id=2278409Also TE Vernon Davis from Maryland is expected to declare himself too. Both are most likely first round picks IMO.

Ya both of them should be top 20. Holmes showed off his skills last night against Notre Dame, a long did Ted Ginn but he can't declare. With Davis he's # 1 rated TE on my list, ahead of Marcedes Lewis from UCLA. Watch for Ko Simpson to declare sometime this week.

With Holmes, do you think he is really worthy of a top 20 pick, or is he just being thrusted up the draft board for being the best WR in a weak draft class. [IMG]

It all depends on what team he will get picked by. If it's a team like the Chiefs, yes, because he's only 5-10 1/2 teams will try and stay away from him. He does make up for it with his speed and I like him. If Holmes was a WR in the last years WR class, Holmes would have been ahead of Roddy White but not as good as Mark Clayton or Troy Williamson.

I wouldn't mind the Eagles picking him up since we have some weak receivers but I think I want them to get a fast pass rushing end to compliment Kearse like Mathias Kiwanuka

I'd like the Eagles to grab him, i think he and Reggie Brown would be a solid pair of recievers, I would prefer a new DE, but Holmes would be a good pick for us IMO
