New Netflix doc. Cool Sabas footage and Rudy highlights. Kobe steals the show though, RIP.

I’ll have to check this out. I loved watching that team, and the final against Spain was epic.

Watched it yesterday, was an enjoyable watch.

LBJ would be wise to try and pry Coach K away from Duke if he ends up owning a team in LV. Maybe LBJ will have the best chance of doing so as well. Seems like he was well respected by all of the players on that redeem team roster. Which was STACKED!

Coach K should relax and enjoy retirement. He’s worked hard enough. Nothing to prove.

Coach K should retire in the NBA with a championship under his belt.

One of the greatest coaches of all time

Edit: He is 75 though, dang. How old was Jerry Sloan when he passed? RIP

“Jerry Sloan, tenacious as a player for the Chicago Bulls and coach of the Utah Jazz, died Friday at the age of 78. The Jazz announced that Sloan died from complications from Parkinson's disease and Lewy body dementia, which he had revealed diagnoses for in April 2016.May 22, 2020.”

    Same disease Robin Williams had.

I hadn't realized Sloan has Lewy Body Dementia. LBD has to be one of the worst ways to go, for everyone involved.

It is hard to be a Kobe fan when your favorite team is the Trail Blazers but I will say that if you watch The Redeem Team it shows you just how he was that much better than everyone else. Guy deserves everything he got on the court due to his hard work (off the court MAY be a different story). Incredible player.

Seems like he was a competitor 24/7 even with his team mates. One of the quotes Gasol said something along the lines of how Kobe showing up to hang out with him and some team mates was “part of Kobe’s plan to soften them up” or get an advantage.

Kobe was probably all about his more often than not. In games, in practice.

I don’t doubt the bad press Kobe got as a teammate. Dude was great though.

I am blessed to have the "job" I have.
The gentleman who had it before me, did it for 27 years.
When Kobe retired, he gave this guy a handwritten, full page letter, thanking him for all he had done over the years.
The attendants also tell me Kobe was one of the best dudes to deal with.

I always loved watching Kobe. Loved to cheer against him when playing the Blazers....as a hoops fan, I don't know how anyone couldn't have been in complete awe of the way he played the game. He is one of the all time greats. One of my favorite players of all time.

Rudy went off this year in Eurobasket too

Looked just like the Rudy Fernandez of old. Huge part of why Spain won Eurobasket this year.

caught the doc. decent enough. but hard to look at Team USA as the underdogs they were portrayed as when Kobe/Lebron/DWade/CP/etc all are on the team.

heavy focus on Rudy in the final which was cool.

I'm not going to say I was rooting for Spain BUUUUUTTTTTT I wouldn't have been totally upset if they won either. That 2008 team trying to come off as underdogs is LAUGHABLE. Plus I get why people rooted for Kobe, even I couldn't stand the guy, he's an all time great. I just love when the Kobe fans get upset and hurt when I put him around 11-15 mark all time, they take it as an insult.
