We drafted a 2nd star for Dame. He just needs two to three years to get into championship shape.

I've had a lot of great things happen in my life because I was positive and hopeful. Do you know how hard it is to get cast in a Broadway show? Took me 5 years of near misses to get there. And after 4 straight years of booking zero TV work, I booked "Bones" because I was hopeful and stayed in the game. Most people would've quit about 2 years into my career back in 1997 when I had absolutely nothing. If you're scared of a letdown, you're gonna miss a lot of fun. Maybe the most exciting moment of my career was when I got my second callback for JCS on Broadway. I hadn't been cast yet but my husband and I celebrated and dreamed of how amazing it would be if I actually got cast. Even if I hadn't been cast, that day was so much fun. I'm glad I enjoyed it. "Realistic" people never would've stuck around to have the career I've had. Take that advice for what it's worth. Your life isn't over yet.

John Wall is painfully slow compared to what he was.

He was pretty slow there but he scored.

And that's your opinion. I disagree.

And by then Dame will no longer be the star we need him to be.

I’ve been realistic my whole life and won multiple Emmys. What’s your point kid?

Why not? Dirk led Mavs to title at that age. Jordan led Bulls to title at 35. Look how good Chris Paul still is.

I already made my point. A realistic person in my position would’ve quit before achieving what I did. Have you aimed for a much higher level job in your career? Or are you just happy with what you have? Not sure what Emmys have to do with it.

Dirk was 32. Dame isn't anywhere near as good as Jordan. Chris Paul hasn't won shit.

And Dame will be 34-35 by the time Sharpe might be a star.

I also think Dirk is a better all time player than Dame.

I think Dame is adjusting from carrying a team on his own to getting his new teammates going/sharing the load.

Pistons championship squad with Billups was very balanced and I think Chauncey wants this Blazers to be like that.

What we're seeing is the learning curve.

Our team after trade deadline will not be the same. Until then, let the games happen, evaluate, make necessary changes.

    Enjoy the ride!

We don't have anyone on our team other than Dame that is as good as anyone starting on that Pistons team except MAYBE Tayshaun Prince.

Sure but Billups ain’t Larry Brown by a long shot.

I wish we had a Ben Wallace on this team.

Surprisingly, their championship squad's numbers aren't impressive. They played great defense though. Also different era.

But we have a better chance at success if Dame doesn't need to put up crazy numbers on the regular for us to win because his teammates help him.

Ant needs to improve from his play last year. Nurk needs to dunk more and baby hook less. JG continue what he's shown in preseason. The SF spot is def our weakest link.

Has nothing to do with numbers. Rasheed Wallace would average 20+ on out current team. So would Hamilton. They were all really good players sacrificing. Grant and Ant are not Rip, Ben Wallace or Rasheed.

Dame does need to do less. We just don't have the talent for him to be able to if we want to win games.

I'm not sure things are as bad as they look in these preseason games maybe they are but maybe the team and coaching staff are trying to play these games with just one part of our offense that we can call "Chauncey Ball" while the plan is to play "Chauncey Ball" on only around 1/3 of set plays and the other two thirds have us playing "Dame Ball" with the only difference between that and "Stoffense" being more movement away from the Dame/Nurk pick and roll.

The explanation for why we haven't seen more "Dame Ball" in the preseason games could definitely be that the team seems to have those sets down in scrimmages and like we're seeing in these games are struggling with "Chauney Ball" so they're trying to get them more live game reps with that before the games count. Or we could be totally fucked. We'll have to wait and see. This theory still doesn't explain why we can never seem to close out and make three point shots difficult for our opponents. Clippers 39.5%, Jazz 45.5%, Kings 46.7% from three against us. No bueno.
