Israels reluctance in getting involved I understand has to do with Putin agreed Israel can take out Iranian sites in Syria after Russia entered Syria, and the US pulled out of the area under Obama. They have concerns that that may end if they get too involved and that will allow Iran more strategic maneuvering w/o Israeli air strike freedom.

Day 237. Russian forces conducted drone and missile strikes against residential areas and critical infrastructure facilities throughout Ukraine. Over the past 24 hours, the Russian troops launched 10 missiles and 58 air strikes, launched up to 60 MLRS attacks, and more than 40 drones at Ukraine, more than 30 drones got shot down. In Kyiv, a residential building was destroyed in Kyiv by a drone, 4 killed. Of the 28 drones launched at Kyiv, only 5 reached their goal. In Odesa Oblast, an infrastructure facility was damaged by the Russian shelling, and six kamikaze drones were destroyed by the Ukrainian air Defense. Russian drone strikes against residential areas are described by the ISW as a strategy of psychological terror. Russian forces conducted ground assaults in Donetsk Oblast. Ukrainian forces continued to strike Russian concentrations of manpower and equipment in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Russian authorities continued measures to exert full control over the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP). The EU announced the creation of a large-scale military mission for Ukraine. In Russia, explosions were reported in the Belgorod region. A plane crashed in the Russian town of Yeysk, 3 were killed, 21 were injured. ️Ukraine liberated 108 women from captivity. In the de-occupied Liman, the bodies of 35 military personnel and 152 civilians were exhumed. The EU increases military assistance to Ukraine to 3.1 billion Euros and launches a training mission for the Ukrainian military.

Kevin McCarthy said if Republicans take the House Ukraine will no longer have what he called a blank check. With many Republicans openly praising Putin, aid to Ukraine could come to an abrupt halt.

Day 239. The Russian army launched 11 missile and 28 air strikes, carried out more than 68e MLRS attacks, hitting more than 25 settlements. The Russian troops launched another massive strike with cruise missiles and Iranian strike UAVs on civilian infrastructure in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Mykolaiv Oblasts. Overnight, Uman, Cherkasy Oblast, and Koblevo, Mykolaiv Oblast, were attacked. Russian authorities are likely setting information conditions to justify planned Russian retreats and the loss of significant territory in Kherson Oblast. Russian forces are setting information conditions to conduct a false-flag attack on the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant (HPP). Russia continues to use the guise of civilian “evacuations” as a cover for the mass forced removal of civilians from Russian-occupied areas of Ukraine. Putin declared martial law in the occupied territories. Russian forces continued to conduct limited assaults to recapture lost territory in northeastern Kharkiv Oblast. Russian military officials continued to forcibly mobilize Ukrainian residents of Russian-occupied territories.

It's definitely worrisome, but does he have as much power as he thinks?

But at least so far, a lot of Republican congresspeople have supported military aid to Ukraine.

Mark Hamill sent 500 drones to Ukraine in past month

Veteran actor Mark Hamill said in an interview that he has sent at least 500 drones to Ukraine through the country’s fundraising platform, as Ukraine’s ongoing conflict with Russia enters its ninth month.

During an appearance on Bloomberg Radio’s “Sound On”, Hamill, widely known for his role as Luke Skywalker in the acclaimed “Star Wars” film franchise, told host Joe Mathieu that he only sent the equipment to Ukraine because they desperately need it.

Volodymyr Zelensky announced last month that the 71-year-old actor had been named an ambassador for the country’s fundraising platform UNITED24’s “Army of Drones“ project.

United24 is an initiative that provides for the regular procurement of drones, their repair and prompt replacement, as well as pilot training for military forces.

Russian forces conducted a massive missile attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, continued ground attacks in Donetsk Oblast and routine fire west of Hulyaipole and in Mykolaiv Oblast. Russian withdrawal from western Kherson Oblast has begun.
Russian occupation administration claims it leaves Kherson city, says all Khersoners “must immediately leave” too. Russian forces will "likely attempt to blow up the dam" at the Kakhovka power plant to cover their retreat from Kherson City.
The Netherlands supported the creation of a special tribunal to investigate Russian crimes committed in Ukraine.

    Day 244
Kremlin intensified its information operation to accuse Ukraine of preparing to conduct a false-flag attack using a dirty bomb for the second day in a row. There are no indications Russia has decided to employ a nuclear weapon. Russia is still failing to maintain adequate air superiority. Blowing up the Kakhovka dam would only slow the Ukrainian advance by two weeks in the south. It would, however, flood territory occupied by Moscow and lose a vital water canal for annexed Crimea. The evidence for Russian genocide intent is very clear by historical standards. US considers HAWK air defense equipment for Ukraine.

Give Ukraine the HAWK air defense equipment.
I was pleased to hear President Biden warn Russia on the use of anything nuclear. Bullies must be met with force.

Day 245 of Putin's three day special operation

Russia continues unsuccessful ground attacks in Donetsk Oblast. Ukraine liberates four villages in Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts, the liberation of Kharkiv village has been confirmed. Russian justification for its invasion of Ukraine pivoted from “denazification” to “desatanisation.” Ukraine calls on Ukrainian refugees not to come back for winter. The US Congressional Progressive Caucus rescinded a letter that urged President Biden to negotiate directly with Russia. German, EU leaders call for Ukraine Marshall Plan.
