To think we only need to win this game to beat/tie HCP’s 10 game record prediction.

Not going to be an easy one, but we can do it. As @BlazerBeav said, Home court needs to motivate and propel us to get this W.

The beginning of the season is often the best time to face a top team. A lot of really good teams start off slow before kicking into a different gear. This first Phoenix game is winnable. The back-to-back ones against them on the road will be a different story. We need as many wins as possible before that stretch that starts Nov 4th.

I think we win if we score more points.

Still amazed this kid played in the first game of the season opener and scored 9 pts in the first qtr......big shoutout to Chauncey for throwing the lottery pick in the fire immediately
if terry stotts was his head coach...

This will be a tough match up. We (The Blazers) can win the game but we need Dame making his shots and Ant scoring efficiently.

Just a side note: When I think about who we have behind Nurk I get physically ill. I don't think we can wait until the trade deadline or even a month or two to address that mess. We need at least one skilled big guy off the bench.

As the early 90s Coliseum signs always said, 'the Suns may shine in Phoenix, but the Blazers reign in Portland'. I hated the early 90s Suns, and hate Chris Paul even more so starting off the home campaign by beating them would be great.

I'd love to see Portland win but I just think the Suns are a bad matchup; and they will almost certainly have Bridges guarding Dame

they will almost certainly have Bridges guarding Dame
Why? Paul has historically owned Dame one-on-one; why should they go away from that? If I'm coaching, I let Paul control Dame as he always has, and put Bridges on the younger, more athletic guys like Simons and Sharpe.

that's what they did last season. They didn't have CP3 on Dame...he was on either CJ or Powell. I believe Monty has conceded that time has taken a defensive step away from CP

but sure, he might try CP on Dame.

We need to score more points than Phoenix tonight if we want any shot at winning this game.
