I disagree. An opinion is a privilege that you have to earn, not a right to which you are entitled.

And why would someone want to share a movie with anti-Semitic messages to their followers? what alternative conclusions are there to be drawn from it that he didn't want to influence?

Sure, as an American citizen, Kyrie is afforded the freedom of speech and opinions. He is immune from prosecution by the government for his views. However, as an employee of a private entity that is the NBA and the Brooklyn Nets franchise, he is not afforded the same freedom. Private companies have the right to protect their image and products. And as consumers of this product, we as fans have the right to judge what’s right and what’s wrong.

Right. Then boycott him and/or the nba.

I dont sit here and bitch and wine about things. I chose to support or not.

he didnt promote this while representing the nba.
Are people not provided a private lice simply because the media hounds then to celebrity status?

im moving on now because frankly ive wasted too much of my time discussing this irrelevance to my life.
Ill let others allow it to consume them with rage on an internet forum though. ;)

That's rich coming from someone who got banned from an internet forum for allowing it to consume him with rage and for bitching and whining. :roflmao:

As to the rest, he's of course allowed a private life. One million people following what you say on twitter isn't private. If he wants to be an anti-semite in his house, he is free to do so. If he puts it on social media, it's no longer infringing on his privacy.

Just imagine if the situation was reversed with regard to Kyrie, like some player tweeting a link to "The Birth of a Nation". You think Kyrie would say "gee thanks I will check that Klan movie out, let me see what they are all about". I don't need to taste a shit sandwich to know it ain't good. And no I don't respect or validate everyone's views. Sure have all the views you want, but don't expect me to respect the view.

When they utilize the platform provided by their celebrity for the purpose of influence, then no, there is no "private life" exemption related to their use of that platform. You can't have it both ways.

When Tom Brady spent the first 20 years of his athletic career avoiding commercials, social media, etc...he had a private life, because he chose to keep his life private. Kyrie (much like the vast majority of athletes) makes a point of exploiting his fame. Which is perfectly OK. But when one chooses to do that, one doesn't then get to try to hide behind the shield of privacy.

Link to where I revealed who you were? You commented plenty about posts made to you or that you made from well before May of this year, when you(re)joined. You outed yourself.
