And what kind of "wholesome teaching" are you associating yourself with? You call these Christian-nationalists sound or wholesome? I think the modern American church, as a whole, has deviated writ large from the actual religion they think they are following. It is sad to see you go down such a path, as I truly do like you as a person.

 

But playing God is exactly what you're doing by support laws removing people's personal autonomy for no reason other than your personal preference.

I will never support policies which remove people's rights to make choices over their own body, especially when giving them that choice is statistically and morally better for society in every measurable way.

That would be taking pleasure in harming others, or basically the definition of an evil person.

You mean like ignoring the data which shows us how much suffering, poverty, and destitution is increased by abortion restrictions, (and in fact advocating for those restrictions)?

Like seeking out largely unregulated institutions which actively recruit troubled and confused people and push that institution's personal interpretation of a book filled with impossible events as a way to influence the actions and decisions of the members?

Yeah, that definitely sounds questionable...

What someone says happened when home alone is unverifiable. A person might genuinely believe their god told them a rapist's ejaculate has more value than a woman's life and risking women's lives so they can birth nonviable children is holy. But that isn't my belief. Just confirms a person finds in their holy book confirmation of their views. And that must never be basis for civil law.

 

No, you're agreeing to keep pushing toxic propaganda (as is your right) and I'm agreeing to keep calling it out for how harmful and immoral that is.

This is my concern with "faith“ based teaching. It encourages people to ignore logic and evidence in critical decisions.

I voted for Trump over Hillary and Joe. Also, when I voted for him in 2020, I kind of felt he had taken a substantial amount of abuse from the Democratic cronies.
