One of the most memorable conversations of my life was chatting with @Lanny at one of the meetups. Such an interesting and thought provoking individual. And just the nicest person you could possibly imagine.
Even though we knew it was probably coming soon, reading of his passing is a shock. He was one of a kind and a true Blazers fanatic to his core. I never got to meet him in person, but I'll truly miss his posts on this forum. RIP, my digital friend.
RIP Lanny, living on the other side of the state i've never gotten to meet anyone on here and it's too bad with some that I've known for a large part of my life through here and Olive, especially guys like Lanny that I had known for over 20 years back to when I was in Junior High talking to everyone on there. He is one of the most passionate dudes for Blazer basketball i've never seen and we are worse off today without him.
Let us know if there's anything we can do for her that would help. Is she also a Trail Blazer fan? Not important now but maybe she'd like to attend some games in the future.
Never even met him IRL, but this is crushing. Sometimes, words just aren't enough. Be at peace big guy.
RIP Lanny. Our group has been together for a very long time and every time we lose someone it really hurts. Gambitnut. MGB. Now Lanny..... We need a ring of honor on here.
Lanny was truly one of the best and most faithful Blazer fans on the planet. I'm so glad I had the pleasure of meeting him and enjoying great times together. My biggest regret is that I wasn't able to have that great steak dinner together, along with our wives, that we talked about so much. I owe you that, Lanny. I'm hopeful there's steak in heaven. I haven't yet looked through all the posts in here, but if there's an address to send flowers and/or card to, please post here. R.I.P., my friend. PS: It would be awesome if the Blazers could pay tribute to Lanny in some way during a game. A piece in the O., WW, or such, would be awesome, as well.
Rest in peace Lanny! You were always a class poster and will be missed. I know you will be supporting the Blazers from wherever you are
Rip Lanny. What a great poster, blazer fan, and human being he was. We were so lucky to get to know him. I hope he’s in a better place.
