How ... show me how it affected a race that has nothing to do with the districts.

They think DeSantis is the present-day Hitler....who has his big authoritarian thumb on anything and everything Florida.

I get that ... I think DeSantis is a douche bag and wouldn't have voted for him but the people of the state did. I hear the same thing in Texas about how gerrymandering caused Abbott to win. If I'm missing something here, please inform me and the rest of us on how redistricting affects a statewide popular vote.

Gavin Newsom was declared winner two minutes after polls closed. Congressional races with fewer votes have yet to be called. The closer an election, the longer it takes because state really does have to count every ballot. Why we don't have final Arizona results. No conspiracy theories and not due to superiority of god emperor DeSantis.

Speaking of minorities being afraid to vote. That impacts every race.

Targeting and intimidating minorities is every bit as bad as gerrymandering...

Who said gerrymandering gave Abbott or DeSantis the win?

Im not sure minorities are afraid to vote as a significant percentage, I think there are as many PEOPLE that are just not interested in voting or to lazy.

Not only did Chris Craig take this line of thought but I've seen it from a number of other people on social media. Every time I do, I assume they are people who know very little about how elections typically work.

Warnock is increasing his share. Possible it could edge up over 50% and spare me a month of fundraising texts.

Or maybe they don't have the resources to stand in line for hours on a workday. Lines caused by the vote obstruction strategy their local republicans tend to push for.

I'd much rather be sure there was nothing for them to be afraid of than "not sure" they are afraid.

We know that there is absolutely a reason for minorities to be concerned about standing in long lines for extended periods of time in republican heavy areas. Until we have removed that from the equation we aren't doing good enough. And anybody who obstructs that removal is a HUGE part of the problem in this country.
