See @illmatic99's post immediately after mine. They're certainly not a hub, by any means, but there are flights in and out that cross the border.
the old carpet before they changed it recently had little emblems of the runway design on it. people thought it was cool enough to protest when the port of portland was replacing it. go figure. it's portland.
Why did you retire your old name in honor of lanny? (and I put you on ignore, so I'll take my answer off the air)
Don't exactly know how the tradition of taking pics of your feet on the airport carpet to signify your return to Portland started, but it became a thing for Portlanders for years. Couple that with the fact that the Portland airport is repeatedly noted as one of the best airports in the country, and the carpet became a symbol of local pride for a city steeped in inferiority complex. Contrasting with every other airport's boring flooring, Portlanders latched onto our carpet as one more thing to set us apart as unique.
It's kind of like the Eugene City zoo, a massive sense of pride for the city. It was such a shame when they had to close it down when Hester the Chicken died.

I was touched when he felt the needs to make amends, which he totally didn't need to. There's a thread in OT

Has anyone seen this jersey before? I think this one is really good. I've never been a jersey guy. Not my style... but I just might buy this one.
