Listened to the Terry Stotts interview last night that he just did and it was interesting. They asked him back to do another segment on defensive philosophies and he joked that nobody would be too interested in his defensive ideas after his last two seasons....said he'd visited teams where his assistant coaches had relocated to...spent a lot of time in Chicago, Utah, Milwaukee and Orlando....most of his visit was in Orlando...said he'd like to coach and follows the small market teams ...he watches the Blazers, Bucks, Jazz, Nuggets, Pelicans and several other small market franchises...said he's happy to see the youth movement and the superstar vet teams fall behind for once. Can't remember the link but it's been posted here somewhere. Terry would like to coach again but is happy living in Portland with Jan and their purebred dogs. Going on his walks and enjoying traveling. He doesn't need to work again and seems to love living in Portland. I hope he starts coming to home games....I know he goes to Timbers games
Would be awesome if we could get him involved with the team somehow. Maybe another year or two when Chauncey is more established could even explorer having him as an assistant. Just a great guy and I'll always remember his interview after Dame 0.9
I think Terry is easy on the ears....he's a calm voice of reason. He's still friends with a lot of people in the organization so I'm sure they'd welcome him on any capacity now that Olshey is gone. I like that he's still a Blazer fan. He's on the last year of his contract and still making millions so I'm sure Terry is in no hurry to go to work. I think the Celtics or Nets should hire him.
Holton was good for about a game and a half. He sometimes has good insight but he muddles it with cliche after cliche and analogy after analogy. Less is more.
You don’t need to, there’s literally 100 such threads you started just this past offseason to remind us.
Speaking of full of shit, Grant has never made an All Star game. Cronin did agree to the opportunity when the stars aligned with Grant, which was one many posters argued strongly against. It's silly to give him zero credit for doing so as there were other viable paths to take. STOMP
no one is giving JoCro zero credit. The Clips trade he made was ballsy. It's just some want to prop him up as a way to insult Olshey, which is dumb.
I am probably the charter member of the Fire Neil club, but of course he deserves some GM credit too. I hope Cronin keeps making ballsy moves. STOMP
Olshey was a selfish asshole. But he knew talent. He was given too much power here, and that was a mistake. He obviously needed oversight. He got to covering his own ass and it was all downhill from there.
