Anyone else stuck in this debacle of tickets for her upcoming tour. My daughter really wants to go. So we were in the verified sale on Tuesday. Only supposed to be 1.5 million people able to access, over 14 million logged in and crashed the system. Didn't get tickets. Then there was a special for capitol one card holders, by the time we could get in they were sold out. Now Friday was supposed to be the public sale and as of now they have cancelled all of the ticket sales on Friday because they can't handle the amount of people. There has to be a better way then ticketmaster for these ticket sales. Maybe don't sell all venues at once. Not sure, but this is frustrating for the fans, especially knowing that the scalpers were able to get in there verified pre sales and are selling them at huge markup already.

Neither me or my wife got verified for Tuesday, but thankfully one of our good friends did. She was able to get 4 tickets( I told her she should have gotten the 6 that was allowed, but she didn't listen), so my wife and kid are able to go.
But what a fucking shit show it has been. First, you start it on a Tuesday. So sorry if you're like, a teacher or someone who can't step away to sit on the internet for 5 hours, but you don't get tickets. Then, I saw the citi card one was like pushed back a day or something? I've heard of people taking the day off to try to get tickets, and then they just get screwed over by saying try tomorrow.
And yeah, just canceling Friday for "insufficient tickets"? Insufficient doesn't say sold out. Just not enough. SO then they can turn around and drop those on their own resale sites and make even more money than they already have.
Also, I think there was like a 70 dollar convenience fee, which is rich since nothing about it was convenient.
    Sorry for your struggle.

Feels like it’s turned into one of those things where people need to take a step back reevaluate the situation. This is Taylor Swift.

According to Ticket master the demand was so high they could have sold out 900 stadiums on Tuesday for her 50 some stadium tour.

Taylor Swift is pretty talented. Luckily we have digital media and there is absolutely no reason to deal with anything to do with stadiums.

My daughter sent me an article that says they are reviewing peoples account and if they have more then 6 tickets they will rescind all tickets with out notification. What is crazy to me is the $70 charge from Ticket master. If they sold 2M tickets on Tuesday with a $70 charge on each ticket that is $140M in service fees ticket master made. Seems very outlandish that amount with what a terrible service they provided.

Tell the USF coach you're considering opening up her recruiting process unless a couple of seats find their way in to her hands.

Sorry, just checked with my wife. Was 60 dollar fee, and then a 5 dollar facility charge. Your point still stands. 120 million dollars for a service fee when they can't properly provide the fucking service!

Don't get me started on ticketmaster. They are as bad as record labels in my book. A total racket.

Always have been, just go back to the 90s and Pearl Jam raging against them, just a new generation figuring out what the rest of us have already known!

“To those who didn’t get tickets, all I can say is that my hope is to provide more opportunities for us to get together and sing these songs,” Swift said.

Tickets have gotten so absurdly expensive these days. In the past I would have gone to a show to see someone I like because the tickets were reasonable and I thought it would be a good experience. Now the prices are so high that I'm extremely selective about who is actually worth the price.

The most expensive shows I have ever paid to go to were Billy Joel/Elton John when they toured together and Garth Brooks. Those were quite a while ago now, and the price at the time (which seemed expensive but worth it) are now a fairly common price for any and all musicians. I just won't pay. Plus....... fuck Ticketmaster.

Prices have gotten really absurd. I know I don't go to many shows, but still.
I saw that Jack Johnson was going to the Edgefield. I'm notnthe biggest fan, but I like him. But tickets were 80 bucks. For Jack Johnson? No thanks.

It's such a bummer because I saw some really cool stuff at the Crystal Ballroom and Roseland. But the cost is just stupid now.

One of the reasons I stick with the smaller acts and smaller venues is the cost. I recently saw a lady named Samantha Fox at the Aladdin for $25 and it was an incredible bargain. Taylor Swift couldn't carry Samantha Fox's guitar pick.......and Fox may well be bigger than Swift when they are both old ladies. The productions at the smaller places are far less "slick" and far more "real". I'd much rather support the artists who are working to survive than add to the riches of those who have already "made it".
