Lose to the Jazz, and fall into a 6 game losing streak.

Meh. It’ll come with experience. His 2nd season ever coaching anything. Timeouts take time to polish.

That won’t happen. Our main players just had a tough night. I know that’s hard for some to accept.

People that say they wouldn’t take Simmons are crazy, dude is at his lowest point of his career mentally and value wise. He can play all NBA D and get you a small triple double on any given night. Our D would be elite with him. Yes his contract sucks but you can’t be a Nurk supporter and say Simmons is garbage.

you'd think after a couple of makes the Blazers would have got the memo to cover Watanabe

    * looked like Ant's hero-ball stretch got the Blazers out of sync

    * Dame a little too much hero-ball in the 4th, but nobody else on the floor was shooting it well

this game really emphasized the advantage of having mobile length
    Kevin Durant 6-10
    Nic Claxton 6-11
    Yuta Watanabe 6-9
    Ben Simmons 6-10

that length gave the Blazers trouble on both ends of the floor. Blazers shot 39%, Nets shot 51%

and yeah, close games have a tendency to even out

And he can make his free throws ...as long as he is playing the Blazers.

Nas had a brutal stretch where he lost our lead with about 4 empty possessions that led to 3 pt makes by them...fueled a big run that I'm amazed we had a shot at the end...poor shooting night when it counted...8 minutes without a bucket isn't going to protect a lead.

Exactly my thinking too. We won about 4 games we probably shouldn't have, so to lose 1 now, it was a matter of time.

I don't think there are many Nurk supporters here anymore.

From about the 3 minute mark of the 3rd quarter to the end of the game, it was all ISO ball.

Btw let's look at the positives: Simmons is awful. I loved being right about not wanting him. He's so bad.

I kinda don't mind the loss. Learning will only make them better. Chauncey will learn that we are a much better team with Shaedon on the floor.

Disagree. This wasn't just a few players having a bad night. This was a reversion to bad defense/idiot iso ball....and for the first time this season we saw Billups lose control of the team.

He had a really good game is one of the main reasons they won.
