<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indiana Pacers have agreed to trade Ron Artest to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for Peja Stojakovic pending league approval, ESPN's Jim Gray has confirmed Tuesday.Kings owners Gavin and Joe Maloof on ESPNEWS would not comment directly on ESPN's report that the Kings pending league approval will trade Peja Stojakovic to the Pacers for Ron Artest. Artest was a key component to a team that was expected to challenge for the Eastern Conference crown. He led the league in steals and was the Pacers' second-leading scorer at 19.4 points a game before being deactivated after publicly requesting a trade in early December. In five years with the Pacers, Artest was an All-Star once and was the NBA's defensive player of the year in 2003-04.Pacers GM Larry Bird said the Pacers had been interested in Corey Maggette of the Los Angeles Clippers, but there was "no question" that Maggette's sprained left foot affected the process. Maggette averaged 21.7 points in 13 games before getting injured in early December. The Pacers have lost four of their last five games, including Monday to the Atlanta Hawks, who have the NBA's worst record.</div>http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2304512
Hellz no. Ron Artest is the T.O. of basketball. He's a virus to the team, and Peja is a nice guy who has one of the best shots in the league. I will admit it had to be done, but I think the Pacers get the better end.
Ahh yeah just like the Eagles got the better end of the T.O. suspension. In the SB last year and not in the playoffs this year? HMM sounds like T.O. got the better end of this deal. And the Kings got the best of of this deal. They get a playmaker in return for someone who can only shoot and doesnt shoot much.

Nope,id wanna stay in Indy too lol.Maybe Im just saying that to keep him out of the west lol.MOVE THE MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES TO THE EASTERN CONFERENCE lol.
Wow. Pacers got the better out of this trade. Peja is gonna be a great fit for the Pacers because their such a great 3pt shooting team. Hopefully the Pacers will be a much better team. And I dont know about Ron Artest. I see him moaning or causing a disease to their team enventually. I still don't see Sacramento winning that many games. They still need some missing pieces.

Artest should be kicked out of the NBA. This pissed my off. He sits there and whines about not playing and saying he will do anything to play again, then he gets his chance and what does he do? Whine some more and say he won't play there. He's the biggest pussy ever, I don't care what any of you say.

Ron Ron doesnt have to go. He is sitting out right now so he's perfectly fine sitting out somewhere else, so the Kings obviously wouldn't wanna do it then. What do the kings tell peja now? Yea well sorry, we want you though.

I really hope the Pacers can pull this off so we don't have to worry about that headcase anymore.
Not Artest says yes (as DB said). He's a jerk who needs to make up his mind or get out of the league and work on his lil' singing junk.
