Just a random question for an off day. Which Blazer do you think has the best shooting mechanics? If you were coaching a bunch of young kids, who would you have them study? The obvious related question - how do you measure/define "good mechanics?" Is it just a matter of the shot going in the basket? Older fans will remember a player - Jamal Wilkes - who had the ugliest shot on the planet and still was a respected scorer who was a key player on NCAA and NBA champions.
in all seriousness, nurk definitely has the most beautiful shot on our team mechanics are legit, hes on marc gasol path of becoming a legit 3-point shooter in his late 20s
I think Josh Hart's 3 pt shot form is text book....Shaedon has a pretty shot and actually Grant has a really unique catch above the head and shoot jumper that's a very effective shooting tool. Nurk's form is good.
The idea is to have somebody take the best shot ...if it's Nurk, then he shoots it. Offense by committee ...move the ball around you tire defenders.
yeah, I was going to say that Martell Webster probably had the prettiest shot ever for Blazers. Best shot mechanics but not the best results. Kiki Vandeweghe was about even with Martell in this regard other past blazers who had pretty shots: Jim Paxson, Kelvin Ransey, Ron Brewer. Can't forget that Steve Kerr was a Blazer for one year
I'm going to add Jamal Crawford to that list and Melo should get some consideration for a pretty shot
Yikes, if this is your serious... Also, if he had such good mechanics how the hell does he miss SO MANY FUCKING LAYUPS?
Anyone shooting in the nba has good mechanics. I mean, there’s nothing wrong with Simons, dame, and so on. All of them have great mechanics. Whose is prettiest? I like Ants shot.
This thread is to @swish3 as the bad signal is to Batman. Aside from the obvious, I am going to go with @wizenheimer here and say Martel Webster. He had great form, but mediocre results. Steve Kerr would be the runner up, and he had much better results.
