NASHVILLE, TN, Jan. 25, 2006 -- Titans defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch has been added to the AFC Pro Bowl roster, replacing Miami Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor, who will not play in the game due to injury. In his first season with the Titans after four years with the Arizona Cardinals, Vanden Bosch finished second in the AFC and fourth in the NFL with a career-high 12.5 sacks, the most sacks by a member of the Titans since Jevon Kearse recorded 14.5 sacks in 1999. Vanden Bosch also posted 100 tackles to finish second on the team behind linebacker Keith Bulluck (150). His tackle total was the most by a franchise defensive lineman since Ray Childress and Richard Byrd each tallied over 100 tackles in 1986.WELL deserved........heres to many more KVB!

Yeah I remember earlier in the season seeing that he was leading the league in sacks for a little bit. Can't imagine why he wasn't chosen to go in the first place. I hope the 'skins pick him up in the offseason I think he's gonna be a free agent.

KVB is gonna be cheap enough for the Titans to resign. He's already talking to Reese concerning a long term contract according to The Commercial Appeal. And yeah,Pro Bowl is a popularity contest. Most people cant see why he isnt starting, heck if it wasnt for Jason Taylor's injury,he wouldnt even be in it.

Congrats to KVB on making the Pro Bowl because he had a great year, but he didn't necessarily deserve it over the ones who were selected ahead of him. In an average year, he probably would've made it without having to be an alternate, but not this year.AFC Defensive Ends:Derrick Burgess, Raiders: 50 tackles (44 solo), 14 sacks, 2 FFDwight Freeney, Colts: 33 tackles (29 solo), 10.5 sacks, 6 FFJason Taylor, Dolphins: 69 tackes (48 solo), 11 sacks, 3 FF, 1 TDKyle Vanden Bosch, Titans: 60 tackles (38 solo), 12.5 sacks, 3 FFKVB vs. Burgess: Burgess led the league in sacksKVB vs. Freeney: No one has to be told that Freeney is one of, if not THE, best DEs in the league, his stats are probably down from double and triple teams on every play, he was the leader of the league's second best defense, and also created twice as many turnovers as KVBKVB vs. Taylor: Taylor has more tackles, barely fewer sacks, same amount of FFs, and a TD...not to mention his name is much more recognizeable.edit: these stats are from the end of the pro-bowl balloting

Personally, I kinda think John Abraham should be there...He had something like 70 tackles, 10.5 sacks, 6 FF himself, very similar numbers to Freeney (except double the tackles), but its not that big of a deal to me.
