It was nice while it lasted, and I did get free tickets out of it....

Well, that sucks

Not even a half a season.

Going to be forced to get DirectTV

Your schtick is growing old. How many times do you have to be told this has nothing to do with the team bro. Educate yourself.
While I see and understand your point, you have to admit that pretty much every step the team has taken has been a big middle finger at a segment of the fans. They haven't exactly made it the most convenient for the fans to ingest the games, and I'm not even a part of the Comcast hater club.

Root Sports and all the other networks they offered signed the contract with Evoca. Not the Trail Blazers, Mariners, or Kraken (teams on Root). The Trail Blazers just helped promote the service, let fans know a new option was available.

Nobody cares about Evoca. It was a crappy service.

It's easier for me to pirate games than support the team. That's the problem with the deal the team signed.

That's what you don't understand. Networks like Root Sports negotiate "the deal" with the streaming and cable services, not the teams that are on their network.

I just turn on my TV and watch the game. My cable bill is about $100 bucks. Lets see? In November i watched 15 games on TV. (one game i went to)
Thar's just under $7 a game. I still get all the other channels as well.
Tell me exactly how the Blazers are making watching the team unaffordable or making it so people can't watch the games?
When I'm traveling out of town i can get the game on my laptop at no extra cost.

The Blazers signed the deal with root instead of kgw or YouTube. The Blazers made that choice. They didn't have to sign with root.

My cable bill is zero. Not everyone can get cable.

I agree. You can get Root Sports on FuboTV with their cheapest package that's only $70 a month. That's only about $5 a game. People spend more than that on a coffee.

KGW isnt really an option. They cant and dont want to give up their prime time slot for a full season of Trail Blazer games. NBC wouldn't allow that. They need to air all their stupid shows and news.
And I know you'll respond with "they used to be on KGW". They did, but it was only a small handful of games each season.

Luckily KGW wasn't the only option.

Why would I change my provider or pay $100 per month (of which only a tiny percent goes to the Blazers) when I can just go click on a link no matter when or where I'm at?

I do think Root is a better option than Comcast was where there were people that couldn't get the service even if they wanted to.
