The Celtics are giving me real Warriors-in-their-first-year-under-Kerr vibes (Udoka=Mark Jackson, I don't care what Eric says). They've just stepped it up to another level. Is the title theirs, barring injury?

They aren't undefeated so this is a waste of a thread.

Maybe you should have added "In a 7 game series" to that thread title?

I think they're the favorites at the moment. They have great size and are deep. It's a long season though.

gsw beat them in the finals, so you have to think they can, but there also milwaukee who took them to the game 7 playing without middleton

miami also took them to game 7 and were one 3-pointer away from advancing to the finals, but im not sure they can beat boston this season

la clippers are super deep and they have ty lue, but they cant win without healthy pg 13 & kawhi and phoenix is still there, one blowout loss to boston means nothing

What's particularly scary is that they handily won two recent games when they were without first Tatum and then Brown. They're a real team that's a well-oiled machine. And they haven't had Timelord all season. I mean, who even is their starting C? That big white guy who does the goofy "hiding the rim to put off the 3-point shooter" thing?

It's all about matchups....and they are currently 0-2 against the Cavs this year

They were the favorites before the season. And yes it’s a long season.

Clippers can’t beat Orlando WITH Kawhi and PG. They’re non-factors.

Like I said, Udoka got Celtics to the Finals. They were incredible in the second half of last season. In Mark Jackson’s last year with Warriors, they lost in the first round. There’s simply no comparison. Celtics are probably currently benefiting from Udoka’s coaching last year. Remember- he hasn’t even been fired by the Celtics.

Nope. In Vegas, Boston was the favorite before and after the Udoka scandal.

Care to bet that he's ever coming back?

OK, maybe the new guy can be Luke Walton (whose record coaching the Warriors when Kerr was out was even better than Kerr's)

A better comparison is the current Boston coach is Luke Walton coaching the Warriors to an absurd record while Kerr was out with back trouble.

Hahaha you beat me to it! And no, I can’t imagine Udoka returning unless Boston loses in an early round. But he’s still a member of the organization,
