Some names I mentioned last year and some new ones. Winslow - if we want to addaking at the F spot and wing defense. However, his health is a huge issue. Bjelica - had a bad year in Miami. But, has size, shoots well, is smart and can be a playmaker. Shaq Harrison - Size and defensze, plus playmaking. George Hill - big playmaker who can shoot, play defense and can allow Dame to play off the ball or makes it hard for opposing teams to trap Dame Dieng wouldve been nice.
Imagine finding out he wasn’t actually still injured, it was just agent rumors because Stotts wouldn’t play him - so that Zach could control where he goes. That behind the doors his relationship with Olshey/Stotts wasn’t great and that is why we didn’t make an offer. Haha, that would be a nightmare and if Zach is going to be healthy and develop leave it to the San Antonio Spurs and Popovic. Collins showed a lot of potential… If he manages to stay healthy it could be tough…
Have you been watching his game or just looking at his stats? I been watching his games and been solid on defense after a couple games. Bam got 33 points in one game but he scored only 2 on Collins and plus he on minutes restrictions. His 36 per is 12/11 and his 100 possission is 109 and his dbmp -0.5. NBA.com got his offense rating 104 and his defense is 102.2. now offense a different story but he not putting a lot shots up and looks out sync a lot of times. But sitting good picks getting shooters open and actually doing good job on the offense boards. He also I believe is in the plus side in the plus minus category. But with continue not get consistent minutes at a time as effective his rythem on his shots. So let him get feet underneath him and see what he can do next year before you throw someone under the bus.
OK, I can understand not actively hating the kid. Actively rooting for him? No way. I will grudgingly respect players on other teams - but I will never root for them.
Right now there pretty cautious with him he on minutes restrictions with around 16 minutes a game and no back to back. Except the last one due to 3 players out and then he only supposed to only get 15 minutes. It probably be like that the rest of the season. His defense been pretty good majority of the time but he still has a ways to go on offense. Just to many turnovers right now and thinking to much and maybe he just not use to the offense. But if his offense ever catch up with his defense he could be hell of a player but that's if.
he didn't extend the arm and the arm didn't impact Collins in any fashion. It wasn't an offensive foul in my view. The review didn't confirm the call but let it "stand"
how is this not extending the arm? Its basically an elbow in the face and a crossing forearm blocking Collins out…
to me it's not extending the arm...especially considering the picture is the most extreme point in time. Where the fuck is his arm supposed to be? on the bench? in the locker room? He's 4 feet in the air and his other arm, with the ball, is behind his vertical and opposite the "extended" arm, meaning his off arm was where it needed to be to maintain balance, and withstand the absolutely obvious coming contact without losing his balance backwards and LOL, there was no contact to the face; Senguin's arm didn't get within 10 inches of Zach's punchable face. here's a collection of poster dunks, the first one that came up, and around half of them have the dunker "extending" his arm in a similar fashion, or even more...and there weren't any offensive fouls called because of it. I timestamped one that was called a defensive foul that call was one of those that if a defensive foul was called on Zach and reviewed, the call would stand as well....IMHO
100% semantics. The arm is extended from the shoulder to the elbow putting the elbow to the face. Is that not a foul? Last time i checked, an offensive player tossing an elbow into the face of the defender is a foul. Which is the point.
Per @dviss1, in a charge call, there are two considerations: Was Collins in a legal guarding position? Did Sengun go "to and through" Collins? Legal guarding position equates to directly between the offensive player and the basket, and directly facing him. To me, that's a yes. Zach was outside the circle, lined up, and vertical. "To and through" means not just making contact, but dislodging the defender from his position to get to or even past the defender's spot. To me, that's also a yes. The "extended arm" is a red herring here. Sengun's entire body clearly went through a legal defender on that play.
Its extended enough to put the elbow in collins face. Thats enough to be a foul as far as i understand the rules. He was clearly fending off the defender with the off arm, which, as far as i know, is a foul.
wait. No where close to his face. Not 10” ??? Look at the zoomed in screen shot again and maybe adjust that? Its clearly within a couple inches and possibly even touching the chin behind zachs left arm. I have no clue how you come up with that. Video shot is evidence you are off. unless you are claiming zachs left arm is about 18” wide… and those other poster dunks could be fouls too just not called? (Didnt watch the vid you posted)
