PK's while extremely exciting are the dumbest way to end a game ever ... I agree on taking players off but leave the goalies ... the extra field would open things up and you wouldn't get a carnival game to end such an important match.

Well. They are about to make the Semi-Finals. Pretty good for “Losers”.

they were in the euro final year and a half ago and they lost

trust me, they only care about winning, just like any other big national team

How about instead of penalties, you take the goalkeepers off and they have to score from the halfway line.

i think they should add extra time in these big games, personally.

but the intensity of PKs is undeniable. and i think there is a definite appeal with limited # of added times for sponsors/tv ad slots/etc

PKs are like starting the 10th inning with a runner on 2nd. Cheap.

Grant Wahl, the US soccer journalist, collapsed and died due to cardiac arrest at the Argentina match today.

he was sick and went to the doctor Monday, they told him he had something like bronchitis

EXTREMELY suspicious death considering he wasn’t allowed in a game earlier for wearing a rainbow shirt. He also has written about the other human rights violations in Qatar.

    RIP

So there is some relevance to what happened 18 months ago as to what will happen tomorrow?

england havent won the world cup or euro in the last 56 years (they won the world cup in 1966), thats total 20 world cups & 16 euros without trophy (1/37 for a big national team like england is a tragedy)

like i said earlier, always had great players, never (before/after 1966) had a great team

in theory, of course they could go on to win the world cup, but in reality, odds are against them

Yeah but you seem to forget that they have qualified for the tournament all but three times since 1950. Since you seem to think what happened in past tounaments matters. In 2018 they made the Semis and placed 4th.
    Go England!
Seriously I don't know didly about kickball. I just picked a team and i really dislike the French.

What a weak yellow on Cheddira!

If Portugal come up with an equalizer after that, I'll be incredibly disappointed

Nice seeing a non-traditional power make it to the semis
