@THE HCP, I asked earlier and you have a more intimate relationship with the players then ,most of rest us. In a players eyes, or yours while traveling with them. What is preferred. A couple 6 game road trips? or multiple shorter 3 game trips? Would they prefer to just go on the road once? or the shorter trips. I know as fans we usually think longer trips are a negative on the team, just curious how the players actually feel about trip lengths. I know the Blazers have three 6 game trips this year, or other teams have zero 6 game trips. Is one truly an advantage over the other?

that's fine. but Elliot and i think Scalabrine in boston are the only ones who do it overtly. Nique lets it slip in ATL sometimes but always catches himself. Seems like a line most announcers don't cross.

Can we commission an artist to make a statue that has a giant Dame in a blazer uniform looking down at a tiny Drexler in a Rockets uniform? Put that shit out in the plaza at Moda as soon as Dame passes him in the scoring list.

On a regional broadcast team, I don't think there is a line. not in the majority of viewers minds to be honest. When the announcers sit down with the team over a thanksgiving dinner or go out to movies with the team, that makes them a "we" in my opinion. You want unbiased, non homer, you have to go to the national broadcast team.

Great question FAMS. In my opinion, the road is a valuable tool. It is a fantastic time and way for the team to bunker down, bond and grow closer. IF things are going good, you can gain a lot from a long road trip in my opinion. I just came back to my room from Shake Shack. While there about 4 players and a couple coaches come in including Coach Billups. Everybody laughing and having a good time. You can't get simple bonding like that at home. As far as length of the trips. I do think players like a 6 game trip over 2 three game trips. Got that Shack Burger by the way! Damn good.

You were in the military. It's the same principle. Stick dudes together and they bond.

Always trying to bring your summer job into the mix... :)

I was going that direction first, but kept getting stuck on the Buffalo vibe.

Yeah I think the benefits we get pushing the ball outweigh the downside. It’s a fine balance and I’m ok with mistakes doing that.

But a lot of the turnovers in the 3rd were just carelessness and the defensive intensity wasn’t there either. You could clearly see the effort rise once the lead was in danger.

I like this team a lot. They’re fun to watch and their style is refreshing compared to what we’re used to. If I’m being picky it’s because I care and I really want them to succeed.
