The record was inevitable. It doesn't matter if it was this game or next. I'd rather have had the win.

don't let this loss take away from the magnitude of dame's achievement. not a single person will remember this loss in the future, while the legacy of becoming #1 will live on for a long time.

going back to the 2012 draft, i wanted Dame bad. But never in my wildest dreams did i think he would get this record back then. he's close to my age so i kinda feel like i grew up with him. I got out of grad school and started work a week after he was drafted so his career has always been kinda in sync with mine.

this couldn't have happened to a better person.

Everyone has all these comments about what lost us the game--Ant's TO, defense on SGA, Chauncey's coaching, Dame's turnovers--am I alone in thinking that the FT disparity was probably the biggest differentiator? Like, if that was relatively even, don't we win this by double digits?

Which is strange cause I hear we are making the top at getting to the line. I only heard this so no corroboration so not taking as fact but I'm also to lazy to confirm it lol.

Horrible loss, team let dame down. Also im starting to think that GP2 will be out the entire season. Why is there no update with him at all? Dame deserves better.

He has no fire to return. I’m over him. I can’t believe I’m always hard on Dame. Dude deserves better than this franchise always disappointing him

It makes no sense at all. GP2 has been in conditioning for 2 months! Nov 15 was supposed to be his return and then the wait was 2 more weeks. He’s practicing with the team. I don’t get it. What are they waiting for? What an awful signing. We would’ve been better off giving money to Zach Collins.

Even after tonight’s loss, we still have the best road record in the West…

    Saying this for years
I didn't think this was a horrible loss. OKC's not a bad team, we played them without Nurk which might have been our biggest clear advantage and we didn't shoot the ball quite as well as usual. We weren't atrocious. It was on the road. Things like that happen from time to time.

Even the defense at the end wasn't bad. We forced SGA out of his sweet spot in the middle of the lane, instead making him make a baseline J I think for the first time all night. Kid mad the shot. He's a good player. What are you going to do?

One thing that really impressed me about the Thunder is how well they contest at the rim as a team. Other than Alexander, they don't have stars. They have a lot of interchangeable pieces, so they can afford to be aggressive on the backline as a defense because they'll always have a lot of fouls to burn.

The Refs gave this game to OKC, awarding 16 more FT to OKC than to the Blazers in the Dec 19 loss. The technical fouls, lack of calls of fouls of Dame, Josh, Jerami, Driew, Ant, and Justice, the false fouls called on Dame, Josh, and Driew, and the incorrect calls on out of bounds calls cost the Blazers this game. Physical play intensity by the Thunder was allowed to be much greater than vice versa. Let's demand a consistently called game.

    Very frustrating!

Game was ours to loose but a very frustrating turnover when the ball was out of bounds at the end.

    SGA... that guy is legit...

Time to see a bit of Jabari at the 5? Thought Trendon was poor all night. Numerous silly fouls in the open court.
