This would be a good pickup for them, he is a solid offensive line coach. Lord knows the Jags need someone to help their line out.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Tice hired as Jaguars' assistant head coachAssociated Pressclick thisJACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio hired close friend, one-time teammate and former Minnesota Vikings coach Mike Tice as an assistant head coach Wednesday.Del Rio also promoted Andy Heck to offensive line coach, replacing fired coach Paul Boudreau. Heck spent the last two years as Boudreau's assistant.Del Rio said Tice will work on the offensive side of the ball."Over the last 10 years, Mike has been a major contributor to some very productive offenses," Del Rio said in a statement. "Mike brings toughness, experience and passion. He will certainly be a tremendous asset to me and our offensive staff as we continue our pursuit of a championship."Tice was 33-34 after four seasons in Minnesota, and his final year was an embarrassing one. He was fined $100,000 by the league for scalping his Super Bowl tickets, and the team was involved in a scandalous boat party that resulted in charges against four players. He was fired Jan. 1 after the Vikings finished 9-7 and missed the playoffs.Tice, a tight end, and Del Rio, a linebacker, played together with the Vikings in the early 1990s.</div>http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2315228
Going from head coach to OL coach, haha. I think he will do a good job with their line but that's quite a step down IMO.

Oh I got confused by this: <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>He is believed to be the leading candidate to take over as the team's offensive line coach.</div>
He can do it for the money and a trip to the playoffs, nothing more. The Jags are hopeless. The game vs. NE is proof. I do give JAX a lil credit for at least making the playoffs though, especially since they're in the AFC.

Their win against the Seahawks sure was helped by that guy fumbling the opening kickoff, but I'll give them some props for that. And they beat Pittsburgh with Big Ben out. Don't get me wrong, they're good, but I don't think they are championship material any time soon.Anywho, on topic, picking up Mike Tice was a good move on their part. Tice seems like he would be a good assistant, but not set out for being a head coach.
