If I'm not mistaken he was GM before the salary cap days of now....he had an open checkbook which isn't allowed under the CBA in today's game....he also had no sense of chemistry...just liked to collect big names ..hard pass from me on Trader Bob but he does remind me of jlprk somehow
Well put... a much different environment now. And our ownership has yet to show they're willing to spend big.
I'm gonna go TOP DOWN - we new ownership most, who is not happy with treadmill mediocrity. That's when REAL changes will occur IMO
A Veteran who can score off the Bench. Need some consistent bench scoring. Winslow and GP2 are not it. Need a Seth Curry, or someone that can go off on occasion when the starters are struggling.
we definitely need defensive wing & scoring power off the bench, when ant goes 1 vs 5, it doesnt end up well and sharpe is way too young to put him into that role, but you still have to play him in order to develop him, so i guess gp2 and sharpe are two guys that should be in the rotation, but that leaves three other players and chauncey & cronin should ask themselves: "are little, winslow & eubanks" correct answers if we can get defensive wing & scorer for the bench, that would be huge, but if its one or the other, id probably take the scorer (we probably need him more) and hope little can stay healthy going forward
Probably not at 20 million for 2 more years when he is 35-36. What would we want to give up for him that Detroit would want? It would have to be multiple players.
This team badly needs a big power forward. If we were able to move Grant to the three, we could dominate people with size. We have been undersized at the 4 since Aldridge left. Guys go big on us and we're done.
Who do like on this list and what would you give up to acquire? 20 best players available ahead of the 2023 NBA trade deadlinehttps://franchisesports.co.uk › NBA
I agree! Pascal would be the perfect robin next to Dame. He’d be my #1 choice. Kuzma would be a good fit. I also like Hayward I just wish he could stay healthy. Is LaVine better than Simons? Would DeRozan be to ball dominant?
Night after night the Blazers’ starters log an average of 3-5 minutes more per player than the opposing team’s starters. Virtually no bench production and running starters into the ground is a recipe for exactly what we’re seeing happen. Changing starters without building a bench that can contribute will accomplish nothing.
