The line opens at Blazers -6 which suggests that Luka isn’t playing. Good opportunity for another win and the sweep!

I hope you are right, but how would they know that this soon? I am guessig it has more to do with the score from last night.

lets get another W, lets see if we can replicate our game from last night

whether shots fall or not, it doesnt matter, just play the same way we did last night

So you think Kidd isn't a good enough coach to adjust his game? I can almost guarantee this game will be different.

he can adjust, but he cant stop us from moving the ball & bodies all over the court and playing with effort on defense

these things recquire sheer will, nothing else

Vegas doesn’t work like that. They’re not as fickle as us fans. They have their predictive models and it doesn’t over adjust or over react to one game.

The line for last night’s game was Blazers -1.5. If all things were equal to last night, then the line would be closer to -1.5. The only reason for a 4.5 point adjustment (which is a huge adjustment) would be for a player of Luka’s magnitude not playing. And I think Dallas has been holding Luka out on B2Bs. He hasn’t played in B2Bs since early December. I’m pretty confident that Luka will be sitting this one out.

I would expect him to change to a bigger lineup. Especially if Luka sits.
Noel is available as well as McGee. I would hope Chauncey can see this?
My bet is Kidd also goes with Bertrans a bit more. They will try to go with length.

Luka also played a Double OT just a couple days ago. I think a total of 52 mins? Guessing on that?
The Mavs board is questioning why Kidd played him at all last night? Also why he had him in in the 4th? Luka was obviously gassed.

Here it comes.
The Blazers are getting healthier and they are playing a home heavy portion of their schedule. They will start to hit more shots and they will be just a tiny bit quicker on defense.
Wins will start to mount. Even that Denver road game will be easier. Other teams are starting to get weary with their road schedules.

There is a poster in here that says pretty frequently "All Things Even Out". Schedule does as well.

Since we are not beating Denver and Sixers in our next games, we need to win again tonight.

IIRC, Portland had the second game against Denver but Murray hit a lucky shot. It wasn't like he was killing it all game.

Having Little back will help. Almost a full squad. Getting there.

Agreed - need the win badly with a road game and near certain loss at Denver next.

Winning last night was needed. Winning tonight is needed just about as much, and probably will be harder, because beating a good team twice in less than 24 hours is awfully tough, and you've got to figure Doncic is going to be more of a point-producer.

But we really need this to maximize what we got out of winning the first game. Otherwise, we're pretty much right back where we were before this weekend.
