Poeltl is a legit center in this league but also hear that spurs actually wants to keep him remember he is only 27 years old and been pretty durability been very good as a big. The rumors are also looking for 20 million in the off season where ever he ends up.
Bummer. I don't think he's a huge difference maker, but he's got talent, and for 2nd rounders, would have liked taking a flyer on him.
I agree but will withhold my judgment until after the deadline or if I think a trade made before the deadline is an absolute fuck up. Hoping Joe has shit in the works that makes this all make sense but I'm not holding my breath but again after Chauncey and Dame's pressers last night, it's pretty clear that there will be moves.
I don’t want to trade sharpe but I do agree with you. If we keep building team around Damien, we need to be taking some gambles and looking at more veteran type players to build around Dame. DeRozan, Siakam, LaVine etc..
Portland doesn't need to be sending second rounders for an expiring contract that might help us battle to 10th place in the conference.
We currently have five second rounders we can trade: the higher pick between the Hornets or Wolves 2024, the Pelicans in 2027 and ours in 2027-29.
There is this from B/R: The struggling Portland Trail Blazers are intensely engrossed in improving the roster with the trade deadline approaching, and they are said to be listening to all overtures, league sources tell Bleacher Report. The organization remains committed to being opportunistic and creative in trying to surround franchise star Damian Lillard with a roster capable of competing with the best. There are no plans to tank this season, sources say. With a revamped cast entering the 2022-23 season, the Trail Blazers had high hopes of making a deep postseason run. Portland (22-25) has lost 13 of its last 19 games, tumbling to 13th in the Western Conference standings. Shooting, size and depth are areas of need. Portland is dead last in points off the bench (24.0 points). The trade deadline is Feb. 9. https://bleacherreport.com/articles...round-trail-blazers-john-collins-celtics-more That's really vague but obviously we are open for business.
