Pennsylvania teacher was ordered to take down quote from Holocaust survivor and author Elie Wiesel . An excerpt from his speech accepting Nobel Prize in literature, Wiesel said

I swore never to be silent whenever and wherever human beings endure suffering and humiliation. We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.

The school said the quote wasn't balanced. Apparently Wiesel should have spent equal time talking about the good parts of Nazi Holocaust.

We may be getting to the point where it's not a bad idea to develop individual escape plans to leave America, in case we need to.

    Getting Closer to Nature
For the first half of the 20th century, San Francisco didn’t have public nudity laws. In that era, local people weren’t walking around nude much, so it was a non-issue. But then the '60s arrived, and many saw nudity as a form of political, artistic or personal expression.

College students streaked across the nation. In San Francisco, hippie culture was thriving, and Golden Gate Park became a favorite spot for nudists looking to get closer to nature. According to police patrolling the area, there was also a decent amount of public sex.

“It wasn’t uncommon for a gal to come out of the bushes there in the Panhandle without a damn stitch and stand right in front of you with her hands up,” said Thomas J. Cahill, who was chief of police at the time. “I was out in the park and two started going to it on the lawn beside me.”

Of course, sex is sexual, and thus already illegal according to California law. But conservative San Franciscans wanted tougher laws to prevent this kind of behavior, and they eventually got public nudity banned in the parks.

Outside of the parks, nudity wasn’t regulated and considered fair

An Ohio couple started a home school with the aim of teaching children to be good Nazis. They now have about 2500 members. Their aim is to protect children from Jewish Afro gay wokeness. Just like DeSantis! They explain there is no public school with a pro Nazi curriculum.

Because right wing Christians and Republicans have pushed so called parental rights there are no laws prohibiting a Nazi academy. After all, children should not have to learn anything against their parents' beliefs.

How can they afford to build low income housing in the area he lives?
He should just build a fence.

Don Jr. complained about "political elites" who never worked at low wage jobs. Unlike him!

Just because you attempted murder only once with good intentions doesn't mean you should be called a murderer after years.

Yes I robbed the bank but I was going to give the money to the charity of my choice. Why should I be held responsible? I only robbed "One" bank.

Iranian couple handed prison sentence for dancing in the streets

An Iranian couple, both social media influencers, have been given lengthy prison sentences after a video emerged of them dancing in a main square in the capital Tehran.

In a video shared widely on social media, Astiyazh Haghighi, 21, is seen dancing without a headscarf with her fiancé Amir Mohammad Ahmadi, 22, in Azadi Square. The couple posted the video themselves.

Each was charged with “spreading corruption and vice,” and “assembly and collusion with the intention of disrupting national security,” receiving sentences of ten and a half years, according to activist group Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA).

However Mizan, a news agency affiliated with Iran’s judiciary, said each individual was sentenced to 5-year prison term on the charges of “assembly and collusion with the intention of disrupting national security.”

The two are accused of encouraging people to assemble and inviting them to riot in an Instagram post made on October 26, Mizan Online also said.

Judge Abolqasem Salavati presided over their case and meted out the sentences, along with a ban on posting videos on social media for two years and a ban on leaving the country for two years, according to HRANA.

Their lengthy sentences have been compared by critics to that of Sajjad Heydari, an Iranian man who notoriously beheaded his wife last year. Heydari, who killed his 17-year-old wife in February 2022, was sentenced to just eight years and two months in prison, according to the country’s semi-official Khabar Online website.

College Board caved to schoolyard bully DeSantis. They revised African American AP course to eliminate Black feminists, Black LGBTQ people and actual critical race theory, which is not anything that makes white people uncomfortable. Also took out writings of activists like Ta-Nehisi Coates. They added in a section on Black conservatives.

So students can't read literature of James Baldwin or poetry of bell hooks but they can learn about, I don't know, Diamond and Silk? Larry Elder? Herschel Walker?
