If we play like we've been playing these guys will kick our asses. That being said, we have shown that we are capable of playing D, we just haven't done it in a while. We have been playing well on offense. If we can do both we can beat these guys. It's not likely but it's probably better than a 1 in 4 chance which is very far from impossible.

Not sure they can beat this team without just outscoring them. 40 from Lillard and 40 from Ant should get them close. Grizzlies on two days rest and 1 game in the last 5 not sure we can hope for them to have an off night?

I would rest Hart and Nurk, gonna get waxed by Memphis anyway most likely, and try to win the next 2.
But then again that makes sense so it'll never happen.....

Grizz recently had a massive losing streak. They’re beatable, esp without Bane.

I don't even know why I'm concerned, losses might be good. Although I'm not usually a fan of tanking....('gotta try to win all the time blah blah') .....it did work out pretty good last year. So unless we make some amazing rob-some-team-blind move before the deadline, why put more mileage on Lillard this year when we have zero chance to contend?
I know HCP is gonna bash me for this but I'm in your camp re tanking.

Really FAMS?

Just ran into my dog in the lobby. Caught up. Looked great, sounded great. Said he is loving life right now….. I’ll let you guess who.
Former number 1 pick for us that just didn’t quite pan out….
Honk once….

I'm glad GO is doing well, seems like he was having a hard time for a while there and who could blame him... everyone says you're the best big man prospect since Duncan and your body betrays you.

That first sentence though.....

That first sentence though.....
Whenever someone types that i do the same thing? Well of course they have to outscore them?
I'll rephrase that. Not sure the Blazers can play good enough defense to stop Memphis.

21-3? ouch. they are a tough out.

Portland Trail Blazers
24-26 (25-24-1) 239.0 +175 36.3%
Memphis Grizzlies
32-18 (24-23-3) -5.0 -210 63.7%

Surprising that the public thinks that we are only a 5 point underdog. You would think that it would be more. Betting in the sports books needs to have even money spent on both sides of the bet. They make their money on the vig. If you were betting Grizzlies look pretty good giving up 5 points on the spread. This is where professional gamblers make their money.

Adams is out and Nurk is questionable. If Nurk plays the Blazers could have an advantage at times? If as the day progresses Nurk is out that spread will increase.

No doubt injury reports have a definite affect on the spread timing is everything

we beat memphis on the road last season (that was a really great game, like a playoff game) with guys like ant, hart, little, winslow & nurk in the starting line-up

but that team + bench looked much better in that 4-game stretch than our team this season and chauncey billups looked like a really promising head coach, which is not the case this season

We beat them in 2004/2005 with Abdur-Rahim, Przybilla, Miles, Telfair and Outlaw starting too, so we should have no problem tonight.

I was about to say that Nurk was really moving fast tonight and then.....

Simons gets picked so much on the most routine things. Simple dribbles, basic passes to set up the offense. Christ.
