wut? Conley makes 22.7M. That would take Simons going out....for 35 year old Conley so then: Portland downgrades from Ant to Conley Portland moves one of it's better assets Portland goes into the tax Portland gets smaller AND, Portland has to add a pick? my take is fuck that
You don't think we're good enough to ever expect a win in any game and have us at 39 wins which is out of the playoffs. I'm not saying that you're talking shit about the guys on the roster and the shitting thing was just supposed to be a joke but you don't think the roster is very good and you're right. So if the roster isn't very good how are you going to make fun of guys who are calling for roster changes immediately because we see what Dame is doing and want to get some players with him that can operate at close to that level and guys that better fit the system, so Dame and the team can win now???
I don't think you've got them going to the playoffs this season... again I know you're not shitting on the team or the guys but when you say that we don't have enough talent to expect a winning record that's kind of calling the team shitty and that's fine because we kind of are. That's why we need moves.
wow are you serious? He hasn't even completed one season as a full time starter yet, and has many more years to improve lots of areas to his game. My god being 23-24 it still LOTS of time to improve, compare any NBA superstar to when they were 23 to where they are at now. Oh sorry I forgot according to you that no matter your age, once you're in your 5th year in the league that means you don't have much more room to grow...That's one of the silliest things I have heard here, and lately its a lot of silly trust me.
everyone huh? or you and a couple of the typical bad apples that always think they know best from anyone esle?
Maybe they could make all trades "incumbent" upon the way it works out for each team. Like in the Clippers case they obviously did very well with Powell. So this summer they should gladly give us a pick.
I dunno... something like Ant to Utah, Nurk/Keon and a couple of Utah's picks to Toronto, Conley and OG here could make sense... except it leaves us without a center.
OK, I should have said everyone in favor of trading Ant. Would you like to explain how I'm a bad apple? Is it because I've never wavered in my support for keeping Dame. Is it because I was very outspoken about getting rid of Olshey. Is it because I have trade ideas? Or simply because I have an opinion which by the way I don't think is more valid than anyone else on here (I mean a few people have consistently shitty takes but for the most part people that disagree with me have great reasons to)?
geeeezuz...he re-signed with OKC after just about everybody said he wouldn't re-sign there. It's not a stretch at all to think he would have re-signed in Portland; OKC sure isn't more appealing to a west coast guy than Portland. And it's not a stretch to say that playing with Dame would have been more appealing than playing with Westbrook. So, I don't buy your assertion you also need to keep in mind that 2018, for a variety of reasons, had the least amount of league-wide cap-space for years. And the 2 or 3 teams that did have cap-space enough for a max contract were small market teams with bad records. No big market team had any cap-spac; neither LA team did. It was actually in his interest to re-sign for the full-Bird max with his current team, and then have his agent push the situation the next year
I feel like if OG is traded he will be underwhelming post-trade. So many people acting almost as if he's a star.
Yeah, that is what I said but not what I meant. He re-signed with OKC to make sure he got the Max, knowing he could later demand to be traded. His end game IMO was always to end up at home in LA. But I admit I am biased, he is a very good player, but I just can't stand the guy.
