Very true, and the fact that there are evidently enough Russians who buy into Putin's BS to keep his ill-advised agenda going...sad when you think about it. But to be fair, propaganda is largely the reason the US somehow elected Trump...that, and the fact that Trump was the only one on the ballot not named Hillary Clinton. And sadly, that speaks volumes about our own country's collective state of mind...I mean, were Trump and Clinton really the best two choices this country had to offer us?...really?
Day 346. Ukraine will fight to hold ‘fortress’ Bakhmut as long as it can – Zelenskyy. Russia sends Special Rapid Response Unit to Donetsk Oblast to quell riots among its soldiers. A new US aid package for Ukraine includes air defense, MRAP vehicles, and ammunition for HIMARS.
It takes an incredible amount of corruption to rise to that level unless you are lucky enough to catch lightning in a bottle and blow up before the parties can tear you down (Obama). Otherwise Bernie Sanders would have won the last two presidential elections.
I expect that Trump will win the primary as the multitudes of others running will cancel each other out and Trump will win with mid 30% of the vote. DeSantis will lose votes to all the others and trump will keep his loyal followers. The only way Joe loses to trump is if he cannot communicate and his health has eroded.
I'm actually a bit surprised that considering his age, Biden is still as sharp as he seems to be...but the big question is what his mental/physical state might be 6 years from now. If Joe decides not to run again I don't see Kamala as his successor...I'm kinda hoping for someone who is somewhere between the Left and the Right, ...you know, someone with common sense.
Her record would indicate that Harris loves the police the way they are. Regardless of what she says publicly. I'm not a fan.
Just want to say that I think I and all supporters of Ukraine are so happy and relieved that Trump did not win in 2020. Difficult to imagine the situation without all the USA military aid.
Day 347. Russia has continued to make small advances in its attempt to encircle Bakhmut. NATO Parliamentary Assembly supports the establishment of a tribunal to investigate Russian war crimes. G7 agree to a price cap for refined Russian oil.
Day 348. Fierce battles are ongoing in the Donetsk region – Zelenskyy. Odesa battles to restore power after fire wipes out the substation. Russia and Iran plan to build a factory in Russia to manufacture up to 6,000 drones for combat in Ukraine.
Day 351. “We have freedom. Give us wings to defend it.” – Zelenskyy in London. Expected Russian offensive to target Donbas, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia regions – Ukraine security chief Danilov. Russian forces have regained the initiative in Ukraine and have begun their next major offensive in Luhansk Oblast. I personally think the offensive began a few weeks ago. russia losing soldiers at a very high rate during this time period, about 900 a day.
Day 352. Russian forces continued offensive operations in Donetsk Oblast, made tactical gains near Bakhmut and sustained heavy losses near Vuhledar. UK to train Ukrainian pilots, provide Ukraine with longer-range capabilities. Zelenskyy addresses European Parliament. Photo is damaged russian armored vehicles near Vuhledar
Day 353. Russia launches another massive missile attack on Ukraine. Of 106 missiles, including 32 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles, 74 air- and sea-launched cruise missiles, 61 destroyed by Ukrainian air defense. Russian missile overflights of NATO territory are highly unlikely to prompt an escalation. Russian forces continued offensive operations northwest of Svatove and around Kreminna, in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka-Donetsk and conducted a limited ground attack in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
Ukrainian model showed up for New York fashion week stylishly clad in bright yellow sweater dress emblazoned in blue with Fuck You Putin.
Day 354. Russia sustains its highest rate of casualties since the first week of the invasion of Ukraine. Russian forces continued offensive operations near Svatove and Kreminna. Russian occupation authorities are likely draining the Kakhovka Reservoir north of the occupied Zaporizhzhia Oblast. https://www.rferl.org/a/russia-wagn...in04THS6Pf7d79s#0_8_10089_8766_2710_246161121
I understand that if Russian oil doesn't flow, with the permafrost it causes cracks because of pressure build's up. If they end up setting on oil it could hurt their cause big time.
