we're talking about Chancey's schemes and how players fit into them

I heard for years how great CJ was Dame didn't play; and that meant if CJ could get his own team, without Dame, he'd be an all-star. I always thought it was horseshit

CJ has his own team, without Dame, now. And with Ingram and Zion having missed 58 games combined, CJ has definitely been 'the man'. He's averaging more than 2 more FGA's than either Zion or Ingram. So then, how is CJ performing this year without being bogged down by Dame?

his FG%, 3ptFG%. eFG%, PER (career low as a starter), TS%, winshare/48, and BPM, are all below his career averages. His assist rate is at a career high, but his turnover rate, unsurprisingly, is way over his norm (burden of running an offense is not easy). These are not all-star numbers

probably indicating that drawing conclusions from these sporadic, isolated, games, and tiny sample sizes is not a good idea

All that data isn't going to fit the narrative being pushed.

I'm not really invested in this discussion but is that a different BPM than is shown in your chart, because that shows his BPM being significantly better with NO.

His BPM last season with NO was excellent (4.6), which is why his overall BPM with NO is 2.4. But his BPM this season is 1.2, which is equal to his career average with is, and below his overall career average of 1.3.
