I dated a Lebanese girl for awhile and she lived in the outskirts of the OC. I remember going to the store out there and thinking everybody was cousins.

The relationship ended because she wasn’t slutty enough and I realized I hate Mediterranean food.

That’s my experience with Oregon City.

I remember when their women high school teams were the tits. They had that girl with the Japanese last name

Lindsey Yamasaki. Incredible athlete. Played at Stanford, then USA Basketball and played in the WNBA for a bit.

She was 6'1 and was I believe the 3rd tallest player on the OC high school team. Those teams were so loaded.

Apparently a Kayaker went over Willamette Falls last night at around 10:30pm. Don't think they found anything, but the choppers were loud as hell until about 3am

Wow. I hope he is okay??? Found nothing at all? Thats crazy!
I was wondering why I heard helicopters flying overhead all night. Had to be coming from the Aurora airport where the emergency helicopters are stationed.

I'm not sure, but I haven't heard of anything being found. I would assume that would be big news.

    CCSO case #25-007630

At approximately 10:52 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025, multiple 911 callers reported observing a kayaker in distress on the Willamette River, just upstream of Willamette Falls in Oregon City. A short time later, witnesses stated the individual, a lone adult male, was seen going over the falls and did not resurface.

Emergency responders from the Clackamas County Water Rescue Consortium, including Clackamas Fire District #1, Lake Oswego Fire Department, Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue, and the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit, quickly initiated a coordinated search effort. They were supported on land by additional personnel from the Sheriff’s Office, Canby Police Department, Oregon City Police Department, and the West Linn Police Department.

To enhance the search operation, aerial support was provided by a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter and a fixed-wing aircraft from the Portland Police Bureau.

Despite extensive efforts, the individual has not yet been located. Search efforts are resuming Sunday morning.

The missing individual was last seen operating a blue hard-shell kayak. His identity is being withheld pending further developments. The Sheriff’s Office will release additional updates when available.

The Clackamas County Water Rescue Consortium is a collaborative partnership between the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, Clackamas Fire District #1, Lake Oswego Fire Department, and Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue.

I feel like there would be easier ways. Plus the report was that people saw a kayaker in distress. Maybe he planned on going over and had second thoughts but it was too late.

Name released of missing kayaker who went over Willamette falls

    Marcelus Angelo Rodriguez

CLACKAMAS COUNTY Ore. (KPTV) - On Thursday, authorities released the name of a kayaker who went missing on the Willamette River almost a week ago.

According to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, the 20-year-old California man who disappeared over the falls on April 12 was Marcelus Angelo Rodriguez.

Over the week, deputies said they’ve expanded their search to span an 11-mile stretch of the Willamette River, up to the Sellwood Bridge.

Rodriguez had been vacationing with his family in a floating home community less than a mile upstream from the falls in the Canemah community, according to deputies.

He had contacted a family member shortly after getting into the river at around 10 p.m. that night.

A homeless community member called 911 when they saw Rodriguez struggling. He then jumped out of the kayak and tried to swim away from the falls, deputies said.

    Rodriguez disappeared seconds later.

According to CCSO, authorities are continuing to search the river to bring closure to his family.

On Thursday, the family released the following statement via CCSO:

“We, the family of Marcelus Angelo Rodriguez, are truly devastated by the tragic event that unfolded this past Saturday in the Willamette Falls area, and we would not wish this experience on anyone. Our family is making every effort to heal and come to terms with our loss.

“We would like to first warn others to always be aware of their surroundings and to NEVER enter this river without wearing a life jacket or, at the very least, exercising extreme caution, as the forces of nature can quickly become overwhelming and deadly.

“We extend our sincere gratitude to the teams of first responders who rushed to our aid and continue to search for our boy. We also thank the locals and fishermen out on the water who have been watchful and helpful during this difficult time. The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office has treated us with care and compassion, and we are forever grateful for their efforts.

“Marcelus loved God, his family, and nature. We hope that this tragic accident can be avoided in the future for other families. May God keep watch over Marcelus and bless him always.”
