Quickley should be the primary target off of the Knicks... I know he's another guard, but he's a much better player than the other options (Toppin, Reddish, Hartenstein).
If Charlotte wants to go full-on tank mode, this would work. Add a couple of seconds going their way. One from NY and one from PDX.
Except he's almost never been a starting SG. He has came off the bench for the majority of his career and when he did start, a good chunk were at SF. Didn't hate the guy, but didn't love giving him a 5 year $90m deal when we really weren't bidding against anyone.
Toppin will be a big time player, in time! But his weakness is D, which we already have enough of a deficiency in.
Toppin is gonna be 25 in three weeks. He is who he is, and it ain't much. Rotational piece but not really starter quality.
Bout 38 or so hours left….. anything? Anything at all? i bet Joe reads the forum.. all the “two quick to pick” guys got to him and he will make three trades… all within 10 minutes of the deadline…
"At what time does the NBA trade deadline end?" The 2022 NBA trade deadline is Thursday, Feb. 9 at 3 p.m. ET. However, some trades may not be announced until after the hard deadline.
It's true, he's been really bad. There is always the possibility he's just a guy in a rut, in the wrong place. People might have said the same about Lauri Markkanen not too long ago. Players break out at different times in different environments. Wouldn't surprise me if he flourishes in a smaller market.
But there are also players who move to other teams and still don't break up and end up a bust. Darko Milicic, Derrick Williams, Hasheem Thabeet to name a few. The price would need to be low on the gamble.
but Marc’s actual wording is that the Grizzlies are among teams “said to have indicated a willingness to offer two future firsts” for OG Anunoby
In terms of which Raptors are most likely to go, it still appears unlikely that Siakam will be on the move. Not only is the 28-year-old in the midst of his best season as a pro (24.7 points, 7.9 rebounds, 6.2 assists per game), but a source with knowledge of Siakam’s situation says his preference is to continue his career in Toronto. Barring a Godfather offer coming Ujiri’s way for Siakam — from the Nets in their attempt to keep Durant from wanting out again, perhaps? — I don’t see a deal going down there. Anunoby, meanwhile, is another story. – via The Athletic Staff, The Athletic @ The Athletic
True. To be clear, I'd only do this trade myself if we were blowing it up. I do have a feeling Wiseman will come good though. Maybe not 2nd overall pick good, but solid NBA big who can move his feet.
How Hart's name is associated with New York is a head scratcher. The only deal that seems to work money wise with impact would be Randel for Nurk and Hart. Don't see this happening. Why are we talking with New York maybe Barrett still New York seems like the last team to trade with.
According to fanspo, Knicks have their own pick and 3 protected picks from Dallas, Washington, and Detroit. If we can get out hands on the Dallas pick or their own pick, it could give us as a liquid asset to play with later on before and during the draft to offset the one we might send to Chicago.
I have not watched him that much. One article I read said he had a 44" vertical at the combine and is quick enough to guard the perimeter. Bigs do develop slower.
