This is a very interesting video if you have not seen it. The Cam part is towards the middle. Sounds like a high-ceiling kid. Dame could be the guy who can help him.

I feel like we try to use this logic on every reclamation project. Some work, and some don't.

Dame is one in a million. This was his comment tonight on Reddish.

But I think Cam is a lost cause.

That is true but can you think of any other player better than Dame at it? Cam has the talent, sounds like he needs to mature a little. Dame and Chauncey both could be helpful.

Maturity might help him use his physical gifts on defense more, but what else can he do? He doesn’t dribble well, or shoot well, or anything well.

Shae looks more polished as a scorer as a rookie than Cam does four years in, imo.

You watch SS all the time. Are you telling me you have watched a lot of Reddish? This is a tough one, Dame says he can shoot the ball and you say he can't. I am really torn on who to believe........

Dame also said he’s a legit 6’8 and his combine measurements say 6’6.5 without shoes. So believe what you like lol.

Whether or not I watch him enough, the percentages say he’s below average shooting the 3 at 32.3%.

Dame also mentioned him being touted out of HS and went to Duke. So Dame is really talking about him reputation-wise. Yes, anyone who’s followed the NBA and college basketball knows he has the reputation of being a good shooter. The numbers just say different. But wtf do I know.

Hope I’m wrong. I have no desire to be right about this if he’s on our team. I’m just being a realist though.

Just so we're clear, in the NBA 6'6.5" is a legit 6'8" because those dudes wear shoes on the court and round up. They consider a dude that is 6'7.5" in shoes to be a legit 6'8" guy, just like they consider anyone who is over 6'11" in shoes a true 7 footer.

The thing about Cam's shot is that it isn't broken, it's really nice actually so when a shooter like Dame sees that he probably thinks the same thing he does about Cam's defense, that if this dude with a nice looking shot, with all of that length and athleticism learned how to focus, he would be great at all of those things. Maybe Dame is wrong but wtf does he know???????

    This is my thinking too.

Just show it on the court lol. If it happens, it happens. If not, oh well.

I like the potential play on Cam and picking up the pick. Just a great trade I don’t care what people say.

So Ant is untouchable, just like CJ was, and Blazers looking for busts to fix. Could it be Olshey is still there?

FWIW, Mike Schmitz liked him coming out of Duke, and has compared him to Paul George

I follow him at Duke I really liked him there. Problem is sometimes it don't translate over to the pro's. But I am on Dame on this this kid haven't found a place to play yet. He some really good games at Atlanta but still didn't get playing time to excel there and New York that coach run his starters in the ground due he only goes 8-9 player deep. I think Portland a good place him because Billups is not afraid to play his young guys plus this Cam should help with bench scoring.
