The Menu was fine ... a little weird but that was to be expected. Didn't like the ending but decent tension throughout. Movies in early 2023 I'm interested in ... Knock at the Cabin (I know MNS is still riding the 6th Sense coattails but will give it a try) AntMan (wife is a big Rudd fan) Scream 6 (the last one was good, will give this one a chance) Cocaine Bear (I mean come on, who isn't going to enjoy this one) Not a lot to do in our town so getting the movies is a 2-3 time a month trip for us, we see a lot of movies
Went and watched 80 for Brady. It wasn't great cinema, but it was fun, and that's all I really wanted.
We streamed The Fablemans the other night. That ending was not what I had expected.....and not in a good way.
Everything Everywhere All at Once was really good. White Noise was really weird and oddly relevant with the train derailment disaster. The whole movie seemed like an odd mix of unrelated events, I had to actually look it up to see how they were related and it's kind of a vague relationship of people's fear of death and how it rules our lifes decisions in often destructive ways.
Spoiler: Spoiler That a Jewish boy grew up to be a famous director? Or that his mom fucked Seth Rogen and his dad found out.
Star Wars Ep 10 just got announced. Probably won't be in 2023, but it'll be interesting to see the direction they go. Sounds like Rey will be training a new era of Jedi. Star Wars has been pretty hit or miss since Disney acquired them. Mando is great, Obi Wan is okay. I haven't watched Bad Batch so idk about that. Ahsoka looks legit and they actual just released a trailer: Anyone have any opinions?
Took the fam to see the Mario movies. It was great, especially if you grew up playing the games like I did.
Finally watching scream 6 tonight. Was thinking they should have Ghost Face Killah kill Ghostface in one of the movies.
