AJ Hawk if hes there (Ive heard a few rumors of you guys trading up to #4 for him)If hes not there, im thinking either Mario Williams or D'Brickashaw Ferguson if they are available...If they are all gone then DeAngelo Williams.Thats just my thoughts though.
That's what they said of the Chargers a few years ago. Now look at them. They're a couple of years away from a championship team.

He is a late 1st round, early 2nd round guy right now. And for Marshall, I hope you mean in round 2 you could select him. He's a 2nd round guy right now, the only team I see him going to in round 1 would be the Patriots and I don't think we go CB in round 1.
I'm thinking trading down and either pick up Lawson or Davis. Then with our 7th in 2nd round, we pick up Richard Marshall. In the game agaisnt USC this year, he shut down Dwayne Jarrett to 5 catches 37 yards (I think).
That wouldn't be a bad idea at all. You said Davis, do you mean Vernon Davis the TE? I think you do and that'd be a sweet pick. Davis has solid speed and great hands, he's the best TE to come out, that I've seen in 2-3 years. Yes better then Kellen Winslow.
I'm also not against drafting Sinorice Moss in the 2nd round either. I SWEAR the niners' receivers are the slowest bunch in the league.
Ya, Brandon Lloyd isn't the fastest guy in the world. Moss would be a great option in round 2, if he falls. He might sneak into round 1.

He's not nearly as good as his brother, but he's a pretty good reciever and he's got a nice 5'8" size to help him out when he gets the ball. He will probably have some of the moves Steve Smith has, but don't expect him to be someone they will talk about for any near years to come. Their better of just going with Huff as to see Gore hasn't done much with the team.
Davis, Huff, Ferguson, and Mario would be picks I would be very pleased with in the 1st. 2nd round I would love to get Lawson or Moss.@D WiLLiAmS: What you say about Gore?

I wouldn't say Gore is "crap", he had to share time with 2 other backs Kevin Barlow, and Maurice Hicks...and he only got 1 start the whole season. He still managed to be the teams rushing leader with 608 yards, and he got 49 less carries than Barlow and rushed for the same number of TDs. It was only his rookie year, let's see what the kid can do as the full time starter he clearly has some talent as you can see by this run vs. the Rams.as for the 49ers pick..I think they should try to trade down to get more picks as they have alot of needs. If theystay at 6 I think they should take Vernon Davis..he can revolutionize the TE position, if not him then Micheal Huff.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BIZ @ Mar 17 2006, 09:08 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>They need a Wr like Santonio Holmes !!!</div>Not at #6 overall though...thatd be a major reach. They just signed Antonio Bryant to be one of their starting WR's, but it might not be a bad move to trade down to 11 or 12 or so and take Santonio Holmes since they have alot of needs to fill.
I will be happy with either Michael Huff, Mario Williams, A.J. Hawk or Vernon Davis and I guess that one of them are going to be there for us to pick. They are all going to help us in someway, so it doesn't matter too much.
It will be Vernon Davis, unless D'Brickashaw is some how still there. No way Hawk will go past Green Bay, and no way Williams will go past N.O.Vernon Davis is the offensive weapon we need for Alex Smith, because Battle gets hurt too often. He would be a great option for WR, but he can't stay healthy. It doesn't look like we can get Javon Walker, so Davis is the next best option. On the rest of the first day I expect us to pick a couple of LB's and DB's.
