If somehow we were fucked out of a pick, it wouldn’t be a first rounder would it?

    Apparently, use of toradol is pretty widespread in athletics;

“All 50 players agree it's most effective to take Toradol on game day, typically an hour or so before warm-ups. ("It zaps that inflammation," says an AFC offensive lineman. "The pain would kick in Monday," says another.)”

https://thelab.bleacherreport.com/n...yers agree it's,says an AFC offensive lineman.

It would interesting to know how many other Warriors players use it.

I saw a post on Facebook (I think) this morning by the Blazers welcoming Kevin Knox to the team. It was posted 17 hours ago. Does that mean the trade has gone through?

    probably not officially

I'd anticipate that the Warriors, being the obvious drama queens they are, will drag this all the way out to the last minute

I'd also anticipate that Payton will play by the first week in March, maybe sooner. If he doesn't than he obviously injured himself in his rush to get on a plane for the Bay

Did he make any accusations or was it just the Warriors? I can see them asking him if he was taking any medications and he answered. Then the Warriors freaked out over it and started embellishing the situation.

Shams explicitly said in that Athletic article that started this whole scandal that the Blazer training staff pressure Payton into Toradol injections and concealed it from the Warriors:

I mean it's not surprising that a glorified blogger would get facts wrong, but you do have to wonder where he got the story about "shots" from

if jody gave a damn, she would be fully in her rights to sue for defamation.

this GS staff that acted so high an mighty is that same one that called Andre Iguodala's fracture a bone bruise.

this GS staff is the same one that allowed KD to play on a strained calf and tore his achilles.

this GS front office is the same one that leaked video of Draymond's punch to the media.

Buncha snakes. Hope they get dragged over this bullshit.

If I had to bet between Gary and someone else in the Warrior's organization leaking it to Shams.......my money is on the Warriors

    could very well be

maybe Payton simply said he'd been given Toradol, and the Warriors assumed that was injections, went Def-Con 4, and put the Blazers on blast

I didn't realize Golden State is such a sleezy organization. Talk about wanting to have your cake after you've eaten it. Maybe the Blazers should request an investigation into collusion/tampering between GS and Payton, which frankly seems somewhat obvious.

So glad Shams did his "clarifying" the earlier reporting was wrong AND so nice and civilized of the Warriors to find a way to make the trade happen ... Wow! The True Princes of the NBA.
