I would assume they're going to Reddish a real shot at some point during the season so they can make a determination if they want to extend his qualifying offer. Proabably won't start, but will get 15+ minutes a game once it's clear we're not a playoff contender.
We were in TWO, not one, 4-team trades. For your confused viewing pleasure...the combined trades in an easy-to-memorize format. ----- TRADE #1: THYBULLE FOR PAYTON gave Gary Payton II got Matisse Thybulle **We got a guard defender who has enough talent to stay in the league without exciting floor-burning self-destruction.** ----- TRADE #2: A NO. 1 (19th overall if the draft were now) FOR HART gave Josh Hart **That's 2 Mr. Charismas we dumped before they dumped us after we inflated their value (Gary Trent).** got #1 2023 New York (protected top-14: if lottery, #2 2024 Detroit, #2 2026 Minn or NY [less favorable], #2 2027 NY, #2 2028 NY) **There's no Stepien, since NY owns their own #1 2024 & #1 2025. So why isn't the contingency #1 2024 New York??** Cam Reddish Kevin Knox #2 2023 Atlanta/Brooklyn/Charlotte (2nd-most favorable) #2 2024 Atlanta (removes protection top-55 from when Atlanta traded #2 2024 Atlanta to Portland for Skal Labissiere in 2020) Ryan Arcidiacono ----- TRADE #3: FODDER FOR FUTURE TRADES gave Greg Brown III (waived) Bojan Dubljevic Daniel Diez #2 2027 Portland or New Orleans (more favorable) #2 2029 Portland got #2 2025 Atlanta (protected 41-60: Portland receives if 31-40 & Oklahoma City receives if 41-60, due to Atlanta-OKC trades: 2020 Gallinari modified by 2022 Harkless) #2 2026 Memphis (protected top-42) #2 2028 Golden State trade exception Ante Tomic
Got it. I'll have it memorized for the quiz tomorrow. Hey, somebody said you were dead. Is that true?
This won't happen but it should be Dame, Shae, Cam, Jerami and Trendon. Feature Ant and Nurk off of the bench together and talk about their +/- after every game to drive their trade value up. I want Shae to get every minute we can give him. I want to see what Cam can do. I think we know what Thybulle is and should resing him for it. The only thing we need to know is does the Dame/Shae back court look like it could work because the Dame/Ant back court fucking sucks together. They are so far and away less than the sum of their parts. What will happen is that the team will stay with the Dame/Ant back court thinking that playing them both the most minutes will drive Ant's value up the most but I don't think that's the case. Dame, Shae, Cam, Jerami, Trendon, Ant, Nurk, Thybulle and I guess Drewbanks. Feature Ant and Nurk dominating bench competition to improve their value as the two salaries that go out with first rounders to get Dame a true second star, while at the same time getting Shae more experience and ready to be a starting SG on a contending team next season. I thought one on one that Shae was the best defender against Shai during the Thunder game.
If we tank again, we could have an asset pool of a lottery pick, high non-lottery first rounder (Knicks dependent), our future picks, Ant, Nurk, other players. . I was thinking about Cronin's "pushing all our chips in" comment and it made me think about Philly underachieving again and Joel asks out and we take a swing Pushing all our chips may mean that a year from now, we're rolling with Dame Sharpe Mikal/OG Jerami Embiid That's a workable framework, a crazy scenario. It's free to dream #aimhigh
Who said that? It is NOT TRUE. For that I will haunt him tonight. I'm learning; I can only pass through 6-inch walls so far.
Our rotation right now is: - Lillard vs. refs, a whole lotta chirping on tap - Simons finding avenues of escape on defense - Grant looking forward to his big payday - Nurkic wearing silly costumes - Nassir playing total spazball - Sharpe might get pinged on radar - Eubanks getting blamed for everything - Watford stats, if he doesn't foul out - Keon dazzling in garbage time and a handful of new RFA's that should see action, but might get cut this summer.
