Will be hilarious if this backfires and makes other teams hesitant to do business with the Warriors. Nobody likes a desperate little wannabe snitch.
I still think it would have been hilarious to reject Knox and void the trade and then watch Golden State end up losing millions on the luxury tax.
If they were so "distraught", why not back out of the deal? It's just so much drama around absolutely nothing.
I started to listen to it, but I quickly shut it off. They were trying to objectively give the reasons why the Warriors have filed a grievance and going into the half-assed-logic-backflips of the Warriors trying to hide their weak case behind the Nance trade any attempt to objectively justify the Warriors position, in my mind at least, is tainted by the tsunami of bullshit, exaggeration, and lies that has flooded out of the bay Area in the past 90 hours. So, an attempt to hide behind a pretty obvious deflection about the Nance trade is the opposite of persuasive to me, instead it is just more confirmation that the Warriors are being big fucking spoiled babies.
can someone refresh my memory....did the Pelican front office register any complaints about Nance's condition?
This is the first I have heard anyone say anything about it. I’m not even sure why the warriors would care. They’re not privy to conversations between Portland and New Orleans.
I thought NOP was actually quite pleased with his addition. Weren't we bemoaning him getting healthy shortly after the trade, having been a throw-in that we overpaid for and gave up on prematurely?
Right....we literally added him as salary to create the TPE large enough to absorb Jerami Grant. The Pelicans made the deal for CJ, not Nance.
Given the uncertainty about Bob Myers future in GS, makes me wonder who is running the show down there. What a shitshow.
The only reason I can even remotely fathom is the Warriors know that GP2 will be out no where even near to 3 months like they initially complained. He’ll probably play after the All-Star break. I mean if it wasn’t for this fiasco, he could probably play immediately. They know they backed themselves into a corner saying he would be out for 3 months. Now they are just playing the public PR game to deflect from that because they desperately need GP2 for their playoff run and want to play him immediately.
I would think that other GMs around the league are looking at this carnival and thinking, yeah...forget making any deals with the Warriors.
