But to be fair, he was drinking like a fish before and all the measurements are in unicorn units.

so was CJ....but those small sample size stats are meaningless

It's not really small.... just this season would be small, but he was hooping last year too while Dame was out.

He's better as a lead guard / primary scoring option.

the EXACT same stuff was said about CJ, over and over, and there CJ is now, actually playing without Dame, in games that mean something instead of meaningless games for a tanking team, and he's not better, he's worse if anything

I like stats and find them useful, most of the time. But I don't buy those stats...or at least I don't gauge their meaning like you are

    A couple of key differences...

First, CJ is at best their third scorer on that team when everyone is healthy. So it's not really the same thing. I think he or Ant would need to be a lead guard, not a point guard. There's a very key difference in those roles.

Second, we like to compare CJ and Ant but they're actually very different players. CJ couldn't even hope to have Ant's athleticism, and Ant is actually a much better three point shooter. They're probably comparable in terms of actual point guard instincts though.

I never thought CJ was a good point guard. He lacks the instincts. I doubt Ant is really much better, but I think Ant is a better player and would be better in a lead guard role.

certainly, CJ has peaked...he's not going to get better. Ant is still 23 so he has upside

6'8" Reddish probably seems that tall to 6'3" Dame.

Thought it was obvious, but I'll help a brother out. Dame isn't 6'3".

    Worst in the league? Ouch!

Wonder how the Payton fiasco plays into that ranking.

I mean... Based on actual results, is this arguable? By Cronins own admission, they haven't made agressive moves and he is selling what he will do in the future rather than what he did.

Think Minny has a better staff. And their ownership seems OK with going in to the tax, while all of our moves indicate we are averse to even sniffing it (next yr). I respect them going for it.
