Oh my. Maxie is unhappy. I didn't, if you can read, label, I asked.
I have no problem with different approaches if they are fact based.

I'm not unhappy. I hate negatively labeling people without research. "Antivaxxer" is a pejorative, and you were comfortable using it. Sad.

Yeah he didn’t live here very long, and it was a long time ago; but his very first memories are of Australia, so it will always hold a special place in his heart.

One of these days I want to take my wife to where they shot the movie I was talking about, Kill Me Three Times.

I haven't been to Western Australia since I was kid. My parents took me out of school, and we spent two months caravanning around the state; it was a great adventure. The ocean at Margaret River is the most beautiful shade of aqua, the likes of which I'd never seen before, and I've never seen since.

i cringe at a lot of what he said because he sorta parroted the rhetoric about vaccines that people who don't understand say: if you get a vaccine, why can you still get sick?

but i looked it up and it turns out his mother before she passed was a naturopathic doctor in the seattle area. even as a scientist who contributes towards the discovery/development of allopathic medicines, i sorta see the merits of homoeopathy and naturopathy.

our bodies are designed to maintain a state of homeostasis to an extent. while the triggers of our current environment are not exactly suitable to this kinda treatment for most issues, it does come with fewer adverse effects. it is what it is and thankfully, his rationale is based mostly on how he was raised rather than nonsense he picked up on facebook.

i dunno... trying to rationalize it, but at the end of the day, he's a basketball player.

also one distinction, he never truly was anti-vax. just refused it.

ehhhh... not really. he mostly just used the rationale about how he was raised and his background. which is fine.

pretty much everything he said about vaccines and what they're intended to do was wrong.

Everyone has the right to free speech, sure. But that doesn't mean exempt from criticism.

Homeopathy has no scientific basis. It has failed every objective test. Not even sure what naturopathy is but a couple is on trial for the death of their baby because they were naturopaths and fed only fruit to a newborn.

    Vaccines save lives.

Someone who refuses vaccines is putting others at risk.

Someone who refuses vaccines and spouts disproven nonsense is antivaxxer.

Denying facts isn't independent thinking. The world is round. The moon landing happened. So did Nazi Holocaust. Trump lost the 2020 election. Facts

You sound like a spokesperson for the pharmaceutical industry. The fact is, many people have gotten Covid even though they were vaccinated. A friend of mine has gotten it 3 times, though he was vaccinated each time. Even worse, the vaccine is killing young men all over the world. Every other day you read about some soccer player, football player or other athlete dropping dead from “unknown causes,” though we all know what the cause is.

I got Covid. But I got it a lot less badly because I am vaccinated.

I have heard the conspiracy theories about healthy young men dying by the thousands from Covid vaccine. But no one can name one.

It's a Laker game thread that the Blazers won from Feb 13th. I guess the forum is about discussion so yeah i can see working to preserve that. Not sure it works well in a game thread though.

What bothered me is that people weren't even allowed to question something that had extremely little to no testing. Now there are account coming out every day of people dying for reasons medical professionals can't quickly identify. We are taught to question everything, except when it came to putting a non-tested, spiked mRNA vaccine into people to the point where they were fired from their jobs if they didn't get it. There is so much evidence coming out now that what people were told about the vaccine or masks was very far from what they were told initially. I'm not an anti-vaxxer. I've been poked and prodded more than most for various medicals issues.

It's the fact that I wasn't even allowed to questions something that had no history and little to no testing, yet people tried to shut down simply asking questions. That is way too much like late 30's Europe.

I’m vaccinated and got Covid with barely any symptoms (a slight sore throat). I wouldn’t have even known I had it but I was directing a play and an actor got Covid so we all had to be tested. I just thought “oh, that’s what that sore throat was.”

    LOL!!

    Thanks for the laughs.

If you think getting told 'you are wrong' is all the people in Europe in the 30s experienced, boy do I have some information to give you about this thing called The Holocaust.

For people who supposedly aren't allowed to speak, they are sure saying a lot.
