Not sure why you would want to go to a place like Honolulu for vacation. Just go to LA and save the money. I’ve worked there and that’s enough for me.
If I wanted to be around THAT many white people at a beach, I’d go to the Sandy river….you could just go to Venice Beach and save cash.
LA ocean water is gross. And Venice isn't exactly a lot of white people, you're thinking Manhattan Beach
My wife and I enjoy a couple nights on Ohau, we usually drive around the Island and we enjoy Waikiki I the evening hitting the mai tai bars. We then enjoy either Maui, Kauai or TBI for a week or so.
Honolulu is alright. For a big beach city it is pretty nice. Not my preferred Hawaiian destination for sure, but worth a few days if you have never been or if you only have a few days and your wife likes shopping.

Not a fan of Mexico, probably because I used to go there for work a shit ton and got sick of it. Never been to the Gulf side, just PV, Mazatlan, Cabo on a cruise, and Cabo by itself and Acapulco/Mexico City a bunch of times. The all inclusive resorts look like a landlocked cruise line. The bars are too cheeseballs, either EDM clubs on the beach or dudes blowing whistles n' shit.
Also not a fan of the mexicans with the can of used up toilet paper next to the toilets. Gross shit bro

I’ve been to Mexico 5 times, my parents have been close to 20. Neither of us have had the edgy crime aspect affect us in any way.
