Hampton off to the Detroit ‘Bring me your tired, your poor, your huddled draft picks’ Pistons.

I’d take all 3 of those coaching candidates. Imagine: a bonafide coaching search… <sigh>

Didn't they just give him a 4 year contract last year? That's like 2 and a half years of pay for not showing to work...

Nate might be best as an assistant coach (same with Terry Stotts, and until he proves otherwise, Chauncey).

The difference is, Nate has coached for 19 years and has a track record. And his teams best player probably didn't like him.

Chauncey is barely in his 2nd year and (checks notes) the teams best player likes him.

Though he also liked Stotts, so that's not necessarily a great barometer.

I read it as Trae vs. Nate and they went with Trae.

I think the difference is that Nate had experience when he took the job and Chauncey doesn't even know when to use his challenges.

Won’t he help out their horrible bench? They seem to really need somebody.

It’s interesting how much Cam Reddish is being brought up by Atlanta fans in the context of Nate McMillan’s departure. (Probably somewhat unfairly)
