Id trade up to have a shot at Scoot. We need a guy with his energy and abilities.
If you haven't yet watch a clip or two of him. wow
He'a a cross of Ja and Ant Edwards.
    Prob go #2

If we can get a better 5 than Nurk we'll be fine either way.

You'd have to hope the team selecting two would be interested in Ant plus some, it may even take Sharp and some.
Snook is a freak of nature with the high energy and skill. He has that it factor and you can tell he wants to dominate the game.
If Wemby wasn't suppose to be a lock at one Snook possibly would be?

They would also have to be extremely interested in a player that is available when the Blazers pick, otherwise if Snook is that good, they would probably prefer him over Ant.

So you have nil Faith in Cronin building a contender, but trust him to build a contender organically through the draft?

The thing that needs to go is fans hope of building a contender short term or long term. This franchise doesn't have that capability as currently structured or managed.

Just accept the franchise is not at that level. Enjoy Dame scoring and young players like Sharpe as well as who we draft.

If he’s that good, they’d be foolish to pass on him. If you think Sharpe is that guy, then just keep him

I’d like to see him go. But I’m curious if all this hoopla around the staff he built that is supposed to be draft guru’s is merited.

To be a Blazers fan is to commit to a spiritual path: just enjoy each game and forget about outcomes. Love the players and forget the finals.

We really need to shut Dame at this point. The Play in or worse 8th seed is something we should avoid. We need to just commit to the tank at this point. Its long past over. I don’t see Dame passing Luka in PPG unless Luka starts playing injured or something. Since he can’t realistically win the scoring title there is nothing to play for and tanking is by far our best move and that includes in a building around Dame scenario.

Umm no? If that is how you want to feel go ahead and do that but none of the rest of us are under any obligation to go along with that sort of loser mentality.

Not sure he's that guy just yet. He is still raw and somewhat timid especially with handle. Scoot is not at all timid and has a great handle and feel, but he's also got the drive, heart & relentless approach.

That was my point. Why would a team trade the opportunity to draft him

Good point. So, say Detroit selects at and they have Ivey, Hayes & Cunningham all pg's. Say they like Simons a shooting guard, which they are week at and have interest in another player & a Pick?
Long shot for sure.....im just a fanatic that every once in a while come up a young player I really like. He's a mix of Ant Edwards, Ja & Westbrook. lol

I don't have faith in him being able to build a contender given where we are now without tearing down... to the point where I am confident he will not succeed in doing so. That's because I look at the guys we have and the contracts we have and... I don't think ANYONE could do it.

I don't see evidence that he could build a contender through the draft, but I think it's possible, so it's a better path than the direction he claims to be going down.
