I actually think they looked great in the 3rd. Physical wise all game. Shame selfish prick Panarin ruined it.
Yeah that was actually a good period. Ive been saying during the season that they need to look to move breadman. No way they should be paying him that much money.
They played a really strong 3rd period, best period in a while, that was good to see. I am also fed up with Panarin, dude scares the hell out of me with his risky play. Big picture today was really good for us. We are in the better position by far. They had to make up 7, now 6, points on us, and we just got 1 point in their building with our backup goalie playing. That is good for us, and bad for them. Win at least 1 of the next 2 with them at MSG, and we are in a solid spot. And while it wasn't pretty, we took 5 of 6 points in 3 road games in 4 nights, again good for us big picture. Hopefully that 3rd period was a start, and will carry over to the Caps game Tuesday night.
Starting the game with Halak in goal and hanging on to scratch out a point after an awful 1st period points to the coaching, something many of you negative hacks are apparently unfamiliar with. They would have won the game if not for Mika's leg spasm. Soft perimeter team? Hits were 45-44 including another skate loosener by Trouba, the Rangers are 7th in the NHL in hits per game - time to find a different reason to hate the Ogre. 148 games/89-43-17 with a new philosophy and immediate success. At least throw a replacement name out there while calling for Gallant's head
Porter. You tend to only point out stats in games where it backs up your thinking. The Rangers haven't hit anybody in weeks. Everybody I listen to has said they are playing like trash the past 2 or 3 weeks. The hits stat is useless. They consider Fox rubbing out a player in the boards a hit. It's not a hit. Miller stats wise has a lot of hits. I've probably seen him throw 5 or 6 hard hits all season. You're also being a drama queen as usual with the negativity. The only negativity for the most part was directed to dipshit Panarin and his absurdly, selfish, long shifts which pussy Gallant hasn't done anything about in almost 2 years. Panarin has cost us several games the past 2 years with this horseshit. You're also watching games with homer glasses if you think anybody should be positive on this team right now. They aren't bettter than Boston, Tampa, Toronto, NJ or Carolina. They match up with Carolina and for some reason seem to have their number. Thus why I hope they play them in the first round.
I point out stats that clearly refute the nonsense perpetual haters write. So every hit the Rangers tally should be reviewed to determine legitimacy? How many of the 44 hits last night should be scrubbed from the records? Saying the Rangers are not making the playoffs when they're clearly going to make the playoffs again or ok they'll make the playoffs but will get immediately bounced or worse yet that they don't even belong in the playoffs is negative Fishstick talk I hear from my Islander fan friends. I believe the Rangers lead the series against Carolina and are even with NJ but like hits these wins are fool's gold. I have to laugh at posters like yourself who seem to possess such a fragile psyche that you can't invest any emotional support in the hockey team you support lest they lose. I still believe the Rangers team at the end of the season will be much better than today's as the guys get accustomed to each other.
