They should just say Out with "Tank" as the reason. Why continue the charade?

By the way why is Simons out? They don't need to rest him to keep up the tank? He needs experience and he might even bring up his trade value?

Really wish Badji could play in these games. Would have been nice to see what he's got and get home done court time.

A lot of Blazers out with Tankid-19.

As i understand the 19 stands for the year of the infection? This should probably be considered Tankid-22 as it started last year? This virus however may last much longer than a couple years before any kind of vaccine might be in place? They certainly will not get any kind of herd immunity out of what they are doing.

He doesn't exist. He's Tyler Durden. He's nothing more than John Butler's conception of what he could be if he were capable of gaining weight.

First rule of Ibou Badji is that we don't talk about Ibou Badji.

Afraid he might have that one in 30 games where he just can't miss?

That picture of Willie Green is so good! Looks like he just found out his star player is injured again.

If we could get another Little/Sharpe special all would be right in the world. Guessing Watford won’t be going.

how can you not talk about Ibou Badji when just saying Ibou Badji is so much fun. Ibou Badji is like a theme song from a Lin-Manuel Miranda movie. It's like something Tarzan would say when he was calling the elephants. It's something Leslie Nielson would say in an Airplane movie.. It's like the next step up from a double-dog dare

It's like the next step up from a double-dog dare
Did not know anyone could imagine such a thing?

And then it happened!

I'd go with Tankid-23, as the Blazers didn't go Full Tanktard until this month.

As for those who may bemoan the Blazers sitting their best players:

1. The adage of why are they playing and risking injuries to their starters during a blowout applies here. Why risk injury to our best players/best trade chips during meaningless games in which we have zero chance of making the playoffs?

2. The Blazers need to evaluate the rest of the bench in as many games and situations as possible. This is the perfect opportunity to do that. It also might help in showcasing some guys who might end up as part of a trade.

3. This is a terrific opportunity to play and develop the young guys, which will pay dividends going forward. For example, this situation will help Shae's development tremendously and help get him ready for a larger role next year.

I personally am enjoying these games. There is no anxiety about needing to win, so I can just sit back and observe and evaluate the players, and enjoy the occasional great plays. These guys have dreamed of this their whole lives and they are playing with energy and desire and joy. Bench guys like Knox are playing for a job, and you can see the desire and effort to show they can play.

What's not to like?

Whether we like it ,or not, tanking has been, and will be, a part of the NBA team building process. I'm more upset that a team can go 300 million + dollars over the tax line , and get hardly a snicker from the NBA.

They tanked last year and it’s pretty much been that way since?
Only a few delusional posters thought they could actually compete this year.

Gonna need Walker or Reddish to step up with some playmaking.

Blazers plan on Badji, Butler, Walker, Keon, and whomever they draft defending their NBA (SL) Title this summer. Badji will be able to work out by mid April.

Apparently, he did some things before he went down, that can be jaw-dropping, partly due to his physical ability, and his freakish 7'8" wingspan. Still incredibly raw, but sounds like they want to keep him around for a further look.

I have no issue having him in the 15th spot.

Sharpe being face guarded, rookie already seeing some unique defense played against him. Going to have to move more without the ball for him to get shots tonight

I don't think they're going to make this a game.

And you can tell the Pelicans are doing their best to not allow Shaedon to get any easy shots.

jones is face guarding shaedon and our team is too dumb to send him backdoor or set off ball screens for him.

our coach looks like he's ready for cabo.
