I get what you are saying. We do tend to get worked up over things that will never happen.

The Blazers could trade the 6 pick and change for a top 15 PF.

That would make a huge difference, depending on how Shaed develops.

Then it's just building the bench and finding an upgrade (or very capable backup) for Nurk...

Yep, that pick and some could be the spring board for a legit star front line player. We have assets now to enter Dame Time!

Do the Blazers even have the salaries to trade Shaedon Sharpe for someone like Bridges or Anunoby?
Seems like it would have to be multiple players from the Trail Blazers.

Nurk + Sharpe gets you to 23 mil on July 1. Enough salary to take on players making 18-27 mil give or take.

So not much of an issue.

Finding a replacement starting center is something we would have to address, however.

Trades not bad obviously we’d want more. Problem would be dealing with Ainge that guy is damn good with trades we’d get screwed. They have shitload of picks so definitely a team that makes sense.

I know Utah is one team Dames probably be ok with getting traded to.

Sure but I know you would agree that neither would make us better. Sharpe will be at their level after another year IMO. I love Bridges, but he was measured at 6'5" 1/4. I thought we wanted more length. I am being sarcastic here as I would take him as our SF in a heartbeat. I just don't think trading SS for him makes sense in the long run.

If the goal is a championship then we have to add a player who can take over a game offensively while being a decent defender. Anunoby is a 3&D wing IMO. Again I would love to have him next to Sharpe (and Dame) but not instead of him

Anybody but Dame and Sharpe. In a few years Shae will be completely dominant.

He'll be 24 and awesome and Dame will be 37 and making a billion dollars a year and we'll be lucky to get into the playoffs. :(

Having two untradable guys who are 13 years apart makes no sense.

Chris Paul had an 11 year age gap on Booker, Bridges and Johnson, and a 13 year age gap on Ayton, and that team managed to make the NBA Finals. Just because YOU can't conceive how it can or would need to be done doesn't mean it's impossible to happen just because Dame is older than other "star" on the roster.
